You need to have an official score report sent to HBS before deadline. It doesn't matter if they receive it before then, as long as you request it.

What's the rationale behind wanting our GMAT scores before we even get an interview invite? I wonder how much money GMAC is making from the $28 each and everyone of us pays to get our scores sent to HBS.

Anyway, mp2437 (or anyone else on here) can you please confirm that it doesn't matter if HBS receives the score before the deadline, as long as I request it before the deadline? just wanna be certain as I haven't requested it yet (but plan to do so today). Where in HBS website does it say this may I ask?

Submitted on Sunday. Now i can forget all that happened in the last one year and pretend it never happened. Back to life, friends, movies, eating out and watching the sun shine on the green leaves outside. :D

Not sure as for GMAT. You need to take your GMAT before the deadline, and report the unofficial score you want to use. I am not sure when HBS will look at the official score, but I am guessing it is within a few weeks of submitting since they want to see if you've taken it before and the change in scores from the previous time.

Janky, what level you studying for? As for me, I am on vacation here in Mexico trying to get this app out by tomorrow. Then I have my L3 book with me...fun stuff.

MP,

Vacation in Mexico sounds nice. The mid-January vacations are where it's at... usually a lot less tourists running around. I'm just getting going on L3 as well. Hoping it won't be as bad as last year, but based on the thickness of the books I'm not so sure. In any case, hopefully we can knock it out before heading back to school  Enjoy!

Yeah, I'm not so sure how it will go as well...for the last 2 levels I usually began early January, so I am about a month behind. I like your goal - lets make sure to get it over with before school starts. I think I remember you from AF, do you post there?

Conventional wisdom always seems to say that you should find recommenders who know you. It seems like you already have two work-related recommenders who probably know you well. If this is true, is the lower level manager going to add much new info? If you think he will, then maybe that's the way to go (although then I would ask whether the the first two recommenders really know you very well). Otherwise, I'd probably go with the dean from UG. He can provide an alternative perspective on your academic performance and abilities. The "ex-upper" who doesn't know you very well seems like a bad choice.

For what it's worth, my three were a current supervisor/manager, department head from UG major, and another professor from senior year. The first two knew me extremely well, and I had a good relationship/rapport with the third from the semester in his class.

Yep. I was on AF quite a bit last year. Haven't ventured back much for L3 yet, but I'm sure I will as we get closer to D-day.
