App in for R2 as well! All done, hopefully for this year!

Submitted an hour ago, and did not receive an auto-confirmation email either.

Maybe the emails are slower today because the server has heavier traffic with only 3 hours to go before the deadline?

Submitted for R2...I got the mail from HBS 5 mins after submitting my app..seemed pretty fast...

One small question though..I found that i had submitted my TOEFL score to the wrong ETS code and sent the score to HBS a few days back...Problem is unlike the GMAT score, TOEFL takes about 3 weeks to reach the school..would this be a problem ?

oh and BTW All the Best to everybody apping in R2...may the fickle Goddess of Fortune smile upon us just this one time

I submitted a few minutes ago. My computer clock read 4.58pm but my receipt stamp says 5.01pm. Am I ****? Should I be preparing to re-apply next year?

Well, server traffic slowed me the frack down, so the app was submitted two minutes late. I'm going to try to take deeeeeep breaths and remember that Stanford said this was okay.

But Stanford seems so much more chill than Harvard... omgwhatiftheycountmeforRound3IamdoomedDOOMED!!!

Okay calm. Calm. I'm done! Six apps submitted in two weeks! It's over. Now: we wait.

Seems like the HBS website said any apps received after the deadline will be counted in R3 but I hardly think 2 or 3 minutes would matter. to quote from their website..

"Given past experience, we anticipate that many candidates will submit their online application materials very close to 5 p.m. on submission deadline dates. To avoid heavy server traffic and potential delays, we encourage candidates to submit application materials as early as possible.

Applications received after 5 p.m. on October 1, 2009 will be considered in Round 2. Applications received after 5 p.m. on January 19, 2010 will be considered in Round 3. Applications received after 5 p.m. on April 8, 2010 will not be considered."

Lets all hope there is some grace period in there....

What held me up with Stanford is different from what held me up with Harvard. Two different lessons to learn, I guess. Fair question, though. I have mostly myself to blame.

I'm sure you'll be fine, but once again you might want to call up admissions and ask.. because you won't get any sort of confirmation of what round your application is being considered for.

Thanks, egy. I appreciate the tough love. I actually already did call them up and they were super-nice and acknowledged that traffic had slowed down a ton of people tonight. I'm in. Be easy, tdave, you should be fine too.

Not sure why I expected Harvard to be strict and awful. I should know better.

OMG! Thank you so much! You just gave me the best news ever! I was so upset, I thought my heart would just break forever! Whew!

Time to go take the longest nap of my life! At this point, I can't even worry about getting an interview. I just want to forget this entire miserable experience.

Heh. Happiest I've ever made a man. Good luck, buddy. I feel your relief. Let's all take it easy now, at least for a couple of weeks; it's out of our hands.
