Exactly.

Can't help thinking about how we can treat only 2 months! I have a 730 on GMAT yet I would rather not re-endeavor that. :(

In certain gatherings, it says around 100-150 candidates are set on this stage consistently.

I would be more interested in the demographics. Don’t think the GMAT score plays such a big role at this stage

I think you guys are reevaluated and compared to R2 applicants, so most likely Feb 3rd would be a time to hear back from hbs… hang in there.

Right now, the deadline for R2 was January 4th, and it takes them about a month to evaluate the apps. The yield for HBS is about 86%-90%. That most likely means that 100-140 from the waitlist (R1 and R2) will be offered a seat at some point. There is no R3 anymore at HBS.

The waitlist is a huge accomplishment, it means that you qualify for their program, but they have too many applications with a similar profile. They want a diverse class, so they want to read the R2 apps to see if they can find diversity there.

The acceptance rate is around 5-15% depending on R2 applicants. That’s what I saw in one of P&Q articles. Usually admission consultants advice waitlisted to be prepared for both scenarios

That’s between 5 to 22 folks out of 100-150 waitlisted.
