ISHIKA21 If you have an MBA on your mind, you've strategically chosen an area of work that has set you in the right direction. But is it time for an MBA? I don't know. There are many unknowns in your write-up that I would like to understand to advise you better. For one, who are you currently working for? Are you with a feeder brand or a potential recruiter from HEC? If yes, that positions you well in terms of employability and connections if your plan A in consulting does not work. If you’re working for a new and upcoming player, how have you ideated some out-of-the-box strategies that helped the company grow steeply in the last two years you've worked with them? That will be very critical. Do you have a great rapport with your leadership/founders—enough for them to put in very strong recommendations for you? Can they show a willingness to hire you once you have an HEC MBA?
That aside, what is stopping you from entering healthcare consulting companies? There is likely no dearth of opportunities in pre-MBA roles, and if you can add a consulting experience in the healthcare space, even if just for a year, it would make your profile hard for a highly competitive program to reject.
You must understand that European B-schools are somewhat critical of candidates applying with less than the desired experience. Those who do get selected from this pool often come from consulting or can show they have gained years of experience, with variety in terms of industry or project exposure, in each year they've worked with their employer. Will you be able to showcase the same? In any case, feel free to have a detailed chat.
Best wishes
