Hi, Can anybody evaluate my profile.

Working as an Assistant Manager in a leading Public sector bank since 2016. Missed promotions because wanted to devote more time to Defence/civil services preparations.

Achievements: 1. Appreciated by Head Office for managing multiple branches at the same time during COVID-19. (I have No proof of it now)
2. Highest digital activation done by a branch at all India level for the year 2023. ( I have a copy of mail)

No other major achievement at workplace since I used to utilize most of the free time for preparations. Now that I’ve exhausted all my attempts of civil services, I want to enter the domain of corporates, earn according to my potential and have peers of my intellect.

GMAT: 645 in first attempt with little preparation. I am targeting 675-705 in my second attempt before round-3.

UG: Civil Engg 65% from Tier-III College
XII: 75%
X: 75%
Hobbies: Playing Chess, and Keeping fit.
Represented College in Chess and Cross country at University. (Certificates lost, I have a photograph wearing my medals)
Played Basketball at School level.
Have a membership of local wrestling club.

Target School: IIM-ABC or any other Top 20 MBA program of the world with scholarship (Harvard, MIT etc).

I also have a very peculiar problem. Since my mother tongue is hindi, I am unable to speak more than 3 sentences of English without stopping midway and translating my thoughts in English before resuming again. I am working on it. The problem is unlikely to go in next 2 month or so. Will it cause any major hindrance in my interview or placement?
Your academics are on the weaker side. GMAT score is decent. Professional growth has also been limited in last 8 years. Extracurriculars don’t provide a considerable spike to the profile. You can probably leverage UPSC prep efforts to showcase your overall development and spin it into a strength. You don’t necessarily have to use very fluent and sophisticated English sentences to get through. As long as you are able to clearly articulate your thoughts in an understandable manner, it should be good enough for Indian B-Schools. Might be a slight challenge for global schools though. Would recommend you to take multiple mock interviews once you get a shortlist so that you are better prepared. Rather than waiting till R3 for improving GMAT score, attempt to apply by R2 itself. R3 becomes relatively more competitive, making it even more difficult to get through. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a free consultation to discuss your profile and application strategy in more detail

IIT-D CSE is a great brand plus you have a good GPA. GMAT score is also decent. Your work-ex is described in an extremely technical fashion, more suitable for MS applications. Would suggest to represent it in a more balanced way with a little more of managerial flavour coming in. Given that you were working in service based organisations, bring in softer aspects related to client management/tech consulting and then relate it to your post MBA goals. Overall profile is good but you’ll need a much stronger articulation in your essays/interviews. You can attempt for ISB/IIM 1 yr programs or some international schools such as HEC, NUS, LBS where you would have a decent chance of getting scholarship. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a free consultation and a deeper discussion about your application strategy. Wish you the best!

GMAT "Focus" Score of 650 is impossible.

A Classic 650 is Focus 595-605. A Focus 655 is Classic 710-720. Funny how "Consulting companies" are evaluating your profile without even clarifying which one of the above two typos you’ve made

You should be aiming for 655+ in the GMAT FE. Additionally, there is not a lot of mention of things that keep you busy apart from work. Try to work on those as well.
