Following is my profile

10th - 94.7
12th - 97.5
Btech- NIT Bhopal - Mech engineering - 7.93 cgpa

GMAT FE - 635
Work EXP - 6 yrs in an Oil PSU until Sept - 2024 . Operations and production role. Little experience in Contract and Finance.
cleared various competitive exams. School leader in 10th and part of various clubs in college.

Very active in sports. Part of cricket teams in School, college and Organisation levels.

Is there any chance in R1 or retake GMAT ? It might take 2-3 months to take GMAT again due to personal reasons.
Decent academics and PSU Ops role is also a good one. If you feel you can significantly improve your GMAT score by at least 20 points if you re-attempt, you can still consider re-taking it. Otherwise apply with the current profile, you still stand a decent chance if you portray your profile in well balanced manner. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed discussion

Suggest required for mock test:
Which is the best mock apart from official mocks?
How is expert global mocks? I want immediate review because I want to purchase and practice as soon as possible.

None of them are accurate enough. GMAT’s official 1-2 can be repeated twice before getting same questions. 3-6 can be given twice. That’s 12 mocks tests. I don’t think anyone requires more than 12. But to answer your query, Expert Global is quite a popular one among the reputed brands. Don’t know if TTP or eGMAT are selling tests only, but if they do, they’d be also quite reflective of your current score.

Hello everyone,

I am applying to iima r1, can anyone help me with profile evaluation. Also, if someone is free to evaluate CV, please drop in a message, I will reach out on DM.

Current profile:

No major award during jobs
No international experience

Strength: diversity, worked in education, real estate, technology.
Worked in Adobe handling north america business .

While there are no red flags in your profile, you have varied roles and organizations and it will be key to explain each on carefully and stich a story around how you have moved forward in your career. Good GMAT score, diversity in work experience should help you make your mark. FOcus on a stellar application and essays (when they come in the next round) and you will be good to go.

Hello All, I worked in the same organisation for 6 years, I got promoted thrice. I have a question, so while filling the form, should I mention my latest role or should I break the role down to all the different roles I did over time?

Also, what is the weightage of your application in the final selection, suppose you are shortlisted for the interview, does your GMAT score will be counted in the final selection or are the final selections dependent solely on WAT + PI after getting shortlisted?

Hello, just a quick follow-up, what do you mean by this, can you elaborate: essays (when they come in the next round) and you will be good to go.

Both approaches are fine, you can choose based on your need

You are graded on various parameters and then the total is calculated for admissions. GMAT will still matter even after interview call.

Is there no recommendation letters that need to be submitted in the first round? Can’t find any mentioning of it so far.
