Yes you CAN apply.

However the journey may not be smooth for you. But you know that already 🙂

I believe what will come as major challenge for you is to justify that you are capable of coming back to mainstream workforce. Since you have been away for 5 years doesn’t mean that noone is going to questions you. But how you recovered and what did you do alongside recovery is a burning question you must be ready to answer.

With those answers available you will have to make sure that they appealing convincing for admissions committee to see potential in you to be part of mainstream workforce.

Be ready for disappointments, but try hard. You have score on your side and may be sentiments too.

Hi Apple_Sweet

In short, you can definitely apply to programs like IIMB EPGP or any top 1-year MBA in India. One clarification— is this career gap ongoing or from the past?

A gap due to a genuine reason can be justified, but you’ll need to clearly show what you did during that period beyond recovery—any positive initiatives or learning will help strengthen your case. Your GMAT score is a strong positive, as it reflects recent effort and capability.
It may be challenging, but it’s absolutely achievable with the right positioning.

Happy to connect if you’d like to discuss your profile in more detail.

Can anyone confirm is 5 year workex is absolute necessity for consideration ? My workex will be around 4 years 9 months by july next year, so I shouldn’t apply or there will still be chances if other aspects of application will be good ?
