Waitlisted too. Does anyone have any idea of the chances of someone who was waitlisted in Round 1?

Taking into account that nobody gets rejected after interview (if anyone is rejected after interview, please, let us know), I think they are really low.

Seems like so far not a lot of people get the long-awaited admission calls?

Got waitlisted as well. Seems like there are no rejects after interview in Round 1 because AO doesn't know what will be the profiles of the candidates for the subsequent rounds.

Contgrats to all those who are admitted. Good look to all waitlisted, including myself...

Can someone with access to MBA connect assess what is the number of students accepted so far?

looking at the threads from last year, the WLed people had to wait until April/May to get off it. So I'd say the chances are low and it's a slow death..

Looking at the Jan intake though there have been some who got off the list within a month on the list. We probably won't see any movement till round 2 results are out in 3 weeks or so. I'm absolutely gutted about being on the wait list, but I'm still holding hope. Thankfully LBS released results this morning too and I got accepted so it's a relief to know at least I will be able to do an MBA. Really hoping I get off the list before the deadline for LBS.

What's everyone on the list planning to do in the meantime?

Hi! I have received the Call on Wednesday and I will be starting starting in Singapore.

I am writing because this forum was a great help for me and I would like to contribute my insights.

My profile:
-European woman living in Japan and working for Jap. corporation for 6 years
-GMAT score 730
-various business trips mostly to Asian countries
-hobby: traveling and learning foreign languages (know few)

I am writing because I did horrible during one of the interviews. Normally I am quite confident in that kind of situations
but my interviewer was pushing me all the time and I knew that I could prepare myself better (especially the part about my failures).
I was sure that I failed, but I still got the Call. I really believe that even if the interview didn't go perfectly, it is not a game changer.

Good luck! I look forward to meeting you all in September :D

I confirmed my seat on the wait list and got an email stating that an update will be confirmed between now and August. I suppose that it depends on who applies on the next rounds but also who declines the offer to pursue another school.

A late answer is not practical as (i) some time is required to secure financing and (ii) I am leaving my job and need to find something else. Given that nobody is rejected and that the admission chances appear to be very low, I will just act as if I was rejected and look for alternative options (maybe another MBA, or something else entirely). Hopefully there will be a nice surprise in a few months...

Only 42? Seems like the huge portion of candidates are waitlisted. AOis hoping that the quality of candidates for the next 3 rounds will be much greater?

Agree, I will also act as if I was rejected.
