No, if you go through this thread, you can see that some R1 and R2 applicants started to receive their interview invitation 2 weeks or so before the deadline and you can receive it any day until the day of the deadline. After the deadline though, I believe it means you're not getting invited to interview.

Haaa...not raising it too high though...given the over represented Indian Male Engineer pool that I belong to! but good to know that some from the WL are in. Any Indians who were WL in R1 or applied in R2 got in?
