Thanks! Actually thinking about it, I wonder if perhaps the attacks on Paris not too long ago might have had an effect on application numbers... It is pretty amazing the odds of that many getting off the waitlist so quickly.

Sorry to hear that wsh1223, Insead123 and ishanyadav22. Having been there I know how disappointing it feels. You likely won't hear back from INSEAD till around when R3 results are due out. Basically what I think happens is that in the next round they add all the remaining waitlisted applications to that same round for consideration. There might also be some movement come late Jan when first installments are due and people with multiple offers decide where to go.

I wrote to my AO to send through some career updates, but apparently it didn't matter because when I got the call I was told that by then they had already decided to accept me.

The worse part about being on the waitlist is not being able to plan. So it might be a good idea to accept your place on the waitlist but also have a backup plan. Other than that, don't lose hope because there is still a chance you get a place as evidenced by three of us on this forum :) Good luck!

Doubt you'll hear anything before Jan because their office is closed for the holidays from mid this week. Commitment fee is due in Jan as well so that's likely when there'll be some movement on the wait list. Good luck!
