Hi there, I applied on 11th september (that's one day before the deadline for R1). I haven't heard from ISB till now (interview invite). It has been more than 2 months so interviews for R1 applicants is almost done and I consider myself rejected at this point. Just to confirm, does the adcom send out an official rejection mail or something?

PS : I'm an EEO applicant.

I submitted it on 11th September too. (I was waitlisted last year)
Called Adcom just now, they said it's not done until we send the emails. As many are saying 5th Dec because of round 2 deadlines. I believe there will still be a few invites.
all that can be done is now hope for best.

there are people who got interviewed and are waiting for results. there are people who are yet to be invited. there are people who are invited for this weekend. so logically 5ht dec might not be D day.

Hey can you share your profile? And do waitlisted people get a waitlist number?

there is no WL numbers. You will have to wait till results of all rounds are out. Post that depending on the deferred and back out number. WL will start getting calls.

Hi guys, Need suggestion regarding ISB, I was planning to apply in R2 and given GMAT recently and score 640. Is it better to write GMAT again and apply in R3 or wait for Next year to apply in R1.

I would say, give yourself time. It is not very easy to jump 640 to 700 with R3 pressure.
Better, plan your GMAT again and apply solid in R1 next year.

Hi nvs18. I would say retake quickly as you’re in a flow of studying and apply in R3. I gave my first attempt and scored 670. I came back and immediately booked my second attempt. Usually the GMAT window doesn’t allow you to take an exam before 15 days of a previous attempt. So I gave my exam right after 15 days and scored 740. You would realise that GMAT is more about strategizing than studying. In the 10-15 days, I simply worked on strategies and it worked for me. If you’re confident of your fundamentals/concepts, all you need is some more practice and an exam taking strategy.

Hey, could you please share what worked for you and how you increased your score significantly in such a short time?

It may take 2-4 weeks.
