Did anyone ask the Admissions Team whether R2 PGP candidates who were interviewed in early January and yet to hear back still have chances of an admit or it’s a straight reject/waitlist? It would help to plan things forward

Posted from my mobile device

I'm in the same boat. Was initially supposed to interview on 8th Jan, got pushed to the 15th of Jan.
Following the trend on the forum, it seems like admits are rolled out to successful candidates on the Friday post their interview. Given that multiple interview cycles have gone by (5 going on 6 this weekend), I am quite bearish on my, and the unfortunate few who share a similar predicament, chances of securing an admit.

As others have pointed out, the best we can hope for is a waitlist (which is- in and of itself- its own hell). I suspect the delay in rejection/waitlists is to ensure they have backup options if the candidates they roll out admits to back out of their spots/ outright reject the admits in lieu of other offers.
The more interesting question (or agonizing one depending on how one views it) is if there is a preference among the waitlisted candidates or not, i.e. if R1 waitlisted candidates are offered admits over R2 waitlisted candidates if any spots open up.
Anyone on this forum happen to have any communication about this^ from adcom?

I was interviewed on 8th Jan itself. Interview went pretty decent and conversational, I think that’s the case with almost everyone. Once you are done with the interview, it’s all black box. No clarity on the waitlist rankings across the rounds and other metrics they take into consideration to offer an admit

Looking at the no. of admits yesterday I would say around 700. But probably a few admits from yesterday wouldn't have joined yet.

Maybe one of those admitted candidates can check this and tell if I'm good at guesstimates :P

there’s no Round preference in the WL, it will be an aggregate of all rounds, and once all admits are done, they start sending invites to those who secured the max composite scores in the WL pool

Personally, I don't think there will be an EEO waitlist. Since this batch doesn't begin until next year, there is ample time and space for them to decide whether they want to admit a candidate or not.

Not an EEO candidate but I have a query. If you apply for R3 EEO and get rejected, are you again allowed to apply in R1 PGP for the immediate next cycle?
