I have a question regarding GMAT Score.
I took GMAT online last year and got a 720. I am planning to take it again this week (giving offline because also planning to apply to IIM A PGPX)
My concern is if I get a lower score, will my previous score of 720 be also shared with ISB (As on the mba.com website, it says that a complete report of all scores for the last 5 years are shared with the school)
I cannot cancel the scores if I get a low score because IIM A is only accepting offline scores. Does a lesser score impact the application for ISB or they will only consider the best score?

ISB will consider your best scores only but just to be safe, you can follow this approach:

Do not Select ISB in the 5 options of college selection at the time of giving offline gmat. If you score less than 720, then accept the scores of IIMA. [ISB has your score of 720 and IIMA will get your offline score]. If you score more than 720, then accept the score and then send your scores to ISB via the official website mode - by paying some additional fee [ISB will get your new scores and so will IIMA]

pranav - yes I did, including ISB

NarutoHozake - According to mba.com, if I share the 720 score with ISB, my new score will be shared with them as well as part of the report....I am not sure about the vice-versa.

In any case, ISB would consider your higher score. Mention that one while applying. Whatever score you get, share the one accordingly to IIMA.

Hi Nikhil,

Can you please let me know whether you record these sessions and whether we can go through these recordings later if we are unable to attend the live session?

Hi, Souvik. We will try to make the recording available but cannot assure you 100% on that. Sorry :(

Hi
I'm a Product Manager working for an edtech company in Gurgaon.
I have 3 years of experience as a PM, having worked for early and mid-stage startups in fintech and edtech spaces.

I did BSc Physics Hons from Durham University in the UK, I didn't do too well, getting a 2:2, equivalent to a 3.1 GPA.
I took the GMAT last year and got a 710, Q: 46 V: 41. I'm planning on taking the exam again next month, I know I can improve on the Quant a lot more.

I'm planning on applying for 2023 intake, how do I fare with my experience and background and what could I add to my profile to make it stand out?

Thanks

I took my second attempt and managed to bag a 740, Q:49 V:42
I'm nearly done with my application and was filling out my employment history.
I had some gaps in my employment during 2020 because of the pandemic and the overall situation at the time.
How much would having gaps in my resume matter?

Gaps are not liked by any admissions committee; however, gaps can frequently have stories built around, such that these stories can highlight some other aspects, and that is what you should really try to do

As long as you’re able to explain it well, it should be fine. Especially around 2020 where a number of firms let folks go. We worked with a number of folks from firms such as Oyo who were impacted and they graduated this year :)
