I guess interview duration varies from Panel to Panel. Some panel were in general taking long interviews whereas some were taking small interviews. Mine was 30min long only and it was same for the candidate just before me.

Generally it is a good sign, if you were confident with your answers and you were able to convey your point accurately.

I was, but one of my interview kept looking out the window while I was answering. Don't really know what to make of it :/

I really hope so 😅 my experience was very different from whatever I have read here so far. Do you have any insights on what the rest of the process is like? Something like interviewers submitting their scores and adcom making the final decision?

Same. I am not sure what to make of my interview.

I dint prep any answers and just had a structureless interview. I dint expect an interview call and was mostly unwell that week. I am pretty scared.

i came to ask this. I asked something to the adcom in the mail yesterday. I don’t know if i should have done that. Considering I finished my interviews. I hope it doesn’t put them off or anything

Roughly a third (my assessment)..no one except the adcom knows so take it with a pinch of salt.

Hi can anyone help me with this information:

I realized that there was a discussion about alumn referrals a while back on this group. Aren’t those referrals only valid if the applicant has worked with the alumn in a professional capacity?

Calling all ISB PGP Applicants - (2023 Intake) Class of 2024 [#permalink]
Does anyone know whether ISB rolls out its final decisions for each round on a rolling basis or so they release them all together after all R2 interviews are done? I gave my interview on 8th January 2023 in Hyderabad (on campus).

About me - I have an undergrad degree in EEE from a top engineering college with CGPA of 8.82/10. Prior education - 10 CGPA in class 10 (CBSE), 93% in class 12 (CBSE). GMAT - 710. I have 5 years of experience in IT consulting at a big 4 firm with majority of the same aligned with the US healthcare industry. I have taken up several roles starting from being a front-end engineer and gradually transitioning to a techno-functional lead. I was able to achieve a fast-track promotion to a senior consultant within a year of being a consultant based on my performance. Extra-curriculars - Long-distance running and Golfing.

About the interview - Had to wait for about an hour over the interview time given before I was called in. Interviewers were both alums. One a product manager at Microsoft from the class of 2018 and the other a Manager at Hitachi from the class of 2015. I managed to stick to my strengths through the initial 'tell me about yourself' part and based most of my interview on industry facts, figures and potential for growth considering that especially in India, the sector is still in a 'discovery' phase.
One of the more time-consuming questions asked was related to a case where I'd need to convince the board of a major hospital chain and pharmaceuticals to open a clinic in a village approximately 200km away from a major city (say Hyderabad). I had to give them the reasons for why it would be feasible and how, based on cost and revenue per consult provide a round figure for the number of consults, could the company to breakeven with such an investment with a time period of a year. They were more into analyzing my approach initially but later, in the "interest of time", asked me to fast-forward tot the breakeven part based on the factors I had already considered. This was an interesting question, though I did mess up by not considering variable cost per consult as a factor to deducted from the revenue per consult and instead added it as a monthly cost component to the existing fixed cost figure I told them.
The rest of the questions were all clichéd and around my extra curriculars and achievements and we closed with questions from my end for the interviewers. The interview lasted about 35 minutes in all.

Both interviewers maintained a poker-face throughout the interview. Aside from a smirk and glance at each other at the point where I messed up in the case question mentioned above, it's difficult to tell how they perceived the interview as a whole. Hoping for the best though!
