Hi, I had my interview yesterday at Banglore. I will be able to give you people with some clarity about the interview. Ask away! Posted from my mobile device
Please outline the questions asked in the interview, if possible. Thank you
Sure!
My panel had two alums of 2014 and 2012 ( Quite senior people).
They started with my interests. I perform stand-up comedy. They started the interview with questions about that. Specific questions about why not a career in stand-up and why a job, how will I juggle my job and my interests, a little bit of questions about my inspirations and why I do not watch other famous comedians. I had to defend my process of writing.
Post this, they directly jumped into serious questions. I have a 6 months gap in my career. They wanted to understand what I was doing in this gap, why I chose to leave the company I was with, whether was it an impulsive decision (This was a little bit on the grilling side), why I took a pay cut, Why I joined a company that is a completely new industry, How did I convince the company to hire me with no relevant experience.
Post this they slightly grilled me on my projects and what was my exact contribution and how did I handle it.
I was not asked anything about why an MBA and why ISB
The interview was a balanced one. It was both serious and chill. It felt more like a conversation. They mostly try to understand you, your profile and your decision-making. Just be thorough with your application.
Tip - Try conversing with fellow applicants in the waiting room. It helped me ease my nerves before the interview. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
