Did anyone here get into IIMA, is it advisable to mail ISB asking for result stating an IIMA admit ? Asking this because IIMA has a hefty lock in fee with a stringent timeline. I am not sure ISB is going to release the result before that (for R2). Any help is appreciated
If you have a strong profile (and are aware of it), along with having another appealing B school admit, yet you are also very interested in joining ISB, there is no harm in nudging the isb adcom to expedite your result citing that you have to pay a hefty lock-in amount to the other school. If anything this gesture will convey your readiness to accept the ISB offer. Though ISB will likely not confirm its decision before the official release time, the officials will sometimes verify the status of your evaluation and offer a serious feedback on your chances. And then it depends on whether you are ready to count on their assurance and let go of the other admit.
