Used to have this for YLP aspirants till 2017. They used to give abstract words like "Happiness", "Politics", "Wealth", and you had to jot down your thoughts on the spot. Hope this helps.

The written component used to be there for the PGP folk as well till 2015 i guess. Like Sarthak said, it was a short para on a particular word. This time I’m expecting a bit more. The broader idea is to check your overall writing style wrt to the essays.

Yes, the expectation isn’t of an exact match since essays have multiple iterations but those folks who have not written essays on their own/have dubious consultants write it for them, it’ll be an issue.
