You have pretty good profile and stellar gmat score

I think you should apply with confidence and work hard on application.

You engineering score could be one thing where reviewers of application might stop but gmat compensates for it fairly.

Wish you all the best for application

Absolutely no for GMAT again

I have never failed to get candidate with similar profile as yours admitted in ISB 😁

So just prepare best for the components of application and your seat is almost reserved (unless you somehow mess it up, which you won’t) 🙂👍🏼

If you DM then I will share the names and LinkedIn of those who had similar profile and despite their fears (which I didn’t have at any stage) they converted to ISB.

Hi could anyone evaluate my profile for R2?
Female, E&C Eng- 8.9 CGPA
12th - 82.4
10th - 8
Work ex- almost 6 years.
1st year -
1. Training in customer service, R&D and operations in Tata Motors. Undertook extra stretch project during this time.
2. Moved in operations/manufacturing in change management role.
3. Due to good support to the team during the change mgmt tenure, was selected on fast track basis for an internal transfer to Program manager role for a new EV Platform project- 500cr capex
4. Moved to project purchasing role at Bosch Limited for international exposure and as well more deeply understanding about cost work, negotiation, etc.- EV product area in power electronics field. Was made electronics project lead for 2 module platform project, however the project is to be handed over to the other counterpart in Hungary due to strategic shift.
Extra curricular:
1. Hosted the biggest business partners award in Bosch India with 500+ bps and bosch stakeholders.
2. Part of regular CSR team at Bosch. Worked in 2 NGOs in parallel to teach school kids. Currently mentoring a 3rd year engineering student.
3. Did a strategic project for future fitness & competency build as per future EV requirements.
4. Tata- hackathon - my idea got selected for implementation.
5. Wrote a technical paper in a journal.
6. Participated in national integration camp during eng.
7. PRO of college clubs and founding member of a new colleague club (women in ENG), got highest sponsorship, IITB professor as keynote speaker, etc.
8. Volunteered for college fests etc
9. Topped my class for 3 years.
8. Was a school captain in school and part of school choir.
GMAT- yet to give target. 685+
Hi WA@gyo3412, International Exposure has additional value in all Indian B Schools including ISB. So your work in Hungary will be a good highlight of your profile. You have worked in EV space, something which is still to reach its full potential, and it adds to your future employ-ability. Fast Track promotion showcases how valued you are in your organisation. The EC and NGO part is decent enough. There is enough in your profile to be a part of ISB cohort. Your GMAT aim is aligned, infact anything more than 655 will be good enough score with this profile. But of course aim as high as possible to get the best out of you. Best Wishes.

Hi Parag22jain, GMAT of 695 is 20 points above class median. If you will be not selected, it definitely will not be because of GMAT. With a CA profile, you will go through shortlist without any issue at this score. Now how you handle your interview will define your success. So, apply confidently and start seriously practicing for interview. Best Wishes

Hi RAGHAV1174, As you have correctly acknowledged that 645 is a bit low for YLP. So, if you have scope of improvement, do try. Otherwise no harm in giving a shot, you never know. Talking about profile, its good. Aacds are decent enough. CFA L1 and the research part being from good institutes will add value to your profile. EC is also substantial, so essentially nothing much to worry from profile perspective and its worth a shot. Just that if it is possible for you to get a higher score (675+) before applying, then it will help you immensely.

Hi Satyam
The given information about Acads and gmat are acceptable and fine to start your quest

However you will have to work hard on impressing admission committee with essays and interview that will eventually translate into your success at MbA admissions.

LegalTech is a good differentiator that you have. Capitalise it and you are pretty much in fair competition.

You can reach out if you need any professional help with it or just an opinion 🙂

Strong candidate for YL program.

I am sure you can do well ... work on application components and fortunately you have enough time as well as deadlines are in December. 🙂

You know it is good enough.

Your CFA L-1 should be a cherry on top to capitalize on...

Get anything in excess of 645 and you are in fair competition

Greater the score would improve your chances marginally

But focus on good essays and more importantly on Interview prep.

I hope this helps you...

Hi PoojaSanghai, Anything more than 665 will be good. Try higher to get the best out of you. But anything above 665 will put you in good place. CA + KPMG + Bank is a nice combo of experience to have. This will help in your selection. The acads are also decent. Hoping that EC are average, the overall profile is worth admit with 655 and above GMAT. You can qualify at lower scores as well, but try to be on safer side. Best Wishes
