Honestly, if I were on the panel — having flown to Bangalore and given up my weekend right after Diwali to interview candidates for one of the most competitive B-schools in the country — I’d probably not take it well if someone asked to reschedule.
The panel invests significant time and effort to be there, so unless there’s an absolutely unavoidable reason, asking for a change can come across as a lack of seriousness or commitment.
