Heyy guys,

What’re the odds with this profile.

8 YOE. Indian Army Officer.
Apart from administration and operational exposure, i’ve had
International exposure with teams from UN and defence delegations from other nations.
District level counter terror frameworks with state administrations. Managed projects totalling worth to the north of a billion dollars. Social impact heavy profile with good co-curriculars.

Under Grad - Bcom hons from DU
Gmat - 665 FE

Asking because i have an admit from Oxford saïd from R1 cycle.

In case i drop that and plan to continue in India, then ISB is the option for me.

All odds I can see is if the interviewer is unwise, sir!!

I think if you guesstimate it w ballparks, it will come to be around 25-30% for admit.
60 candidates a day, 120 across weekend in 1 location.
Across 6 weeks ~ 1200 candidates to be interviewed, 300-350 to be selected in R1 and 100-150 in WL.

Dear All,

A summary of ISB PGP interview debriefs from our mentored applicants who interviewed in Hyderabad last weekend.

• Tell me about yourself
• Tell us more about the drop shipping business that you started during undergrad?
• Why did it fail? Do you think you tried everything possible to make it a success?
• What learning from your failed startup did you incorporate in your first job post college?
• How did you help with your family grocery chain? Why start an online presence when you could have tied up with any listing platforms?
• What excites you about the future of the fintech industry?
• You mentioned in your resume that you listen to / watch podcasts? Recommend a few to us based on your understanding of our interests / tastes?
• You have stated that your understanding of a good leader was shaped significantly because of your 1-month international experience? What was the reason for such a drastic change in a short time frame?
• You have mentioned Negotiation Analysis as one of the courses that you are super excited about learning during PGP. Why so? Can you think of a situation during your time at ISB where you feel you will have to negotiate hard.
• Tell us your opinion on cryptos? What future do you see for it? If you rejoin your current employer as a PM post ISB and are entrusted with the responsibility of building a crypto staking platform, how will you go about building it?
• You have mentioned that you have recently picked up Pickleball as a hobby? Is that more out of fashion (following recent trend) or do you like playing the sport? Before this, have you ever played any racquet sports?
• You have mentioned you will cook homely meals for your study group members at ISB? How do you think you will be able to manage time for cooking with your other commitments?

Hope this helps!

Feel free to reach out to us at via DM / [email protected] / 9701215544 in case any of you have their Interviews coming up this in the coming weekends (Mumbai / Delhi etc.) and want to do mocks.

Cheers and wishing everyone all the best!

Very decent chances ihemantsingh, but one can never be 100% sure. So, i am not sure if I would recommend dropping Oxford.

Please see if you keep the Oxford option as well, until things become clear with ISB.
