"Don't agree at all" isn't harsh disagreement in the first place
I get your point, but that still proves the larger point that clarity matters more than the act of mentioning goals or not. People who did not write a goals still showed direction through their achievements and narrative. You are assuming that everyone who skipped didn't show that indirectly in their second essay, which is not true.
The call is based on how coherent the profile reads, not on the presence or absence of a paragraph labeled “goals.”
Also saying “wrong goals can cause rejection” is exactly the same as saying the story lacked alignment. That is not about goals being the problem. That is about the application not landing well. So the debate is not goals yes or no. The debate is clarity versus confusion. Score simply cannot compensate for confusion, and that is where the difference shows up in calls.
then please don’t... Nobody is forcing you to agree 😀
I am not here to debate... I am sharing best possible reasons for someone who is looking forward a plausible explanation of rejection and is willing to reflect to be better.
Showing direction to a person who is feeling directionless despite his best efforts is best that I can do at such forum...
learning to appreciate the gestures and guidance is something makes one a growing mindset.. despite differences and different allegiances’ 🙂
