Hi Aurellius,

While no score guarantees an admit because a lot also depends on the strength of your overall profile, it makes sense for you to aim for a score in excess of 675 to be competent in relation to your application pool.

All the best!
thanks

I got 675 in GMAT FE. (Percentiles V99, Q85, DI79) I couldn’t mark one question in DI at the end, and I assume due to that I had a large score penalty. I was scoring 715+ in official mocks consistently.
I would appreciate advice on whether I should retake the exam. Sharing my profile as well for context.

My profile:
Male candidate.
10th - 10CGPA
12th - CBSE 94.6% (does isb give weight to school marks?)
College - Bits Pilani, Computer Science. CGPA 8.18
Work experience - working at Microsoft as a software engineer since 2021.
Will be aound 4 years during the R1 applications.
Some extra curriculars in college, no leadership roles (maybe a 2 year teaching assistantship will count)
If I were you, I’d retake the exam, since the mocks scores were consistently higher, and I’d want to give it my best shot at each step.

I’d also start application work in parallel. Best case scenario - score improves, if not, I’d have the application strong and ready for R1 either way.

Regards,

Our current student studying at ISB gave recent feedback. Most of folk out there are around 22-33 years in age.

If I plan to retake, should I still send this score to ISB? Or would sending multiple scores be a red flag?

@WA@zlr974, I believe ISB application asks the candidates whether they have given GMAT multiple times.

So, as long as you attempt GMAT multiple times, your act of sending those multiple scores to ISB, does not change anything.

Starting my GMAT prep from today, can someone please help with my few doubts :
- What time should I plan to write my GMAT?
- With the profile I have, and considering to apply in Round 2, what are some really important factors I need to keep in mind?
- When should I ideally start working on my essays and LOR’s for ISB Round2 application?
- How many LOR’s are good to be submitted?
