Whether you should re-attempt also depends on the range of scores you were getting in your mocks. If your mock scores were consistently higher than 645 then you can still consider re-taking the exam with the aim of bumping the score by at least 20-30 points. If the mock scores were also in a similar range as your actual score, better to focus on your crafting your application properly. In case you need a detailed profile evaluation, we would need more details. You can always reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a conversation.

Hey there, I am looking for a profile evaluation.
10th – 10 CGPA
12th – 83.2% (Non-medical stream; scored 100 in IP)
Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from a Tier-1 Design College – 7.7 CGPA
Previously dropped out of an engineering college (educational gap). Also completed a diploma in Interior Design and a few relevant certification courses.
Work experience (2+ yrs total) includes: Initially, I spent 9 months at a well-reputed fashion brand, where I successfully completed an entire collections, leading and overseeing the entire design and production processes till the end. Cliental include several Celebrities.
– 3 months at another popular brand (let go due to internal reasons beyond performance)
– 4 months at a third well-known brand, where I again contributed to a completed collection. Cliental include a Princess of Bahrain. Eventually left due to various reasons.
– Currently working in the family business for the past 8 months
The transitions between jobs were due to a mix of internal restructuring, misalignment with roles, and a search for the right creative and professional fit.
I’m yet to take the GMAT and currently preparing, aiming to score well. I understand a good score can really add value.
I understand my career path has included gaps and transitions. I believe each phase has contributed to my clarity and personal growth, and I do realize that a right narrative will really matter.
Your Non-Engg background and unique work-ex definitely can be leveraged as a differentiator. But given the multiple job switches and lower tenure, you have rightly identified the need for a very clear and compelling narrative in your applications. However, you can think about it once you are done with your GMAT. Target a slightly score of 685+ to implicitly offset some of the weaknesses in your profile. Wishing you the best for your exam. Always happy to connect with you at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed conversation

Hello people. I am targetting ISB 2026 Intake in R1 and I am looking to take help of mentors/institutes for writing essays. I have done my research and have shortlisted 2 options. 1) Strategy4GMAT 2) Sarthak Verma’s Career Edge. Please help me make a decision. (You are most welcome to give alternate suggestions apart from these 2 options.)

Sarthak verma has a mixed reputation so go in your own peril
I was considering Sarthak Verma as well, do you have any sources of reviews etc?
I tried searching but hardly found any reviews/experiences other than their own testimonials/linkedins

There is faith carters as well
Thanks for the suggestions. Really means a lot. I did considered Admit Street and had a talk with Mr. Arvind. But he said he starts working with candidates only after they have a GMAT score which I don’t have. So I am left with the the other 4 options as of now.

if you had your score, would you go with Admit street or one of the other options you’ve mentioned above?

I’m looking to apply for R1 as well

No. As quoted I think we need to check GMAT Club once. But as of now I am tilted towards Strat4GMAT due to the fact that they have more experience under their belt compared to Mr. Sarthak Verma

I had read good reviews for Admit street, but did not researched further due to not having GMAT score. Sorry can not say now.
