Can anyone review my profile for ISB as I am planning to go mba from isb and want to apply for R1
Hi Suyash. I am assuming that you are yet to give GMAT/GRE since there is no score mentioned. Academics are average so target a slightly higher score of 675+ or 328+ in GMAT/GRE to compensate for it. Entrepreneurial and leadership experiences can add an edge to your applications provided it is articulated properly. Also, would be helpful to know the nature of your role at GlobalFoundries as well as your post MBA goals for a more actionable profile evaluation. You can also reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a detailed conversation with an ISB alum

Question for folks who have appeared for the gmat test .

Would you recommend someone about to appear for the test soon to practice on whiteboard ? Does it make a lot of difference if one has just been practicing on paper ?

During the test , is the whiteboard placed on the table like we would place a notebook or placed vertically above the ground on a stand ?

Hi shivampaul,

You have a fine academic background, a stable career trajectory, and goals that sync well with your profile; to be honest, it really depends on how you bring everything together in your essays.

If you can get a 695+ on the GMAT, you have a very strong chance; for now, just focus on your GMAT. Once that is out of the way, work on your essays.

All the best!

Hi abhiram1245,

Good to see the strong leadership experience so early on in your career as well as a logical set of career goals.

While a 655+ is ok, a score in excess of 675 will give you a considerably good chance of receiving an interview call (assuming your essays are coherently written).

All the best!

Whiteboard? Hope you are opting for in-center exam Atulsingh2494.

ISB does not accept online GMAT/GRE exam.

NPCI is a big name now abhiram1245. Your target GMAT score is also consistent with what ISB expects for the most part.

So, once you do achieve your target score, you are good to go!

All the best.

Since you have built products, Product Management might be a more suitable post-MBA goal than Product Consulting shivampaul.

690+ would indeed be amazing on your GMAT.

Without even a hint of your expected GMAT score, it is very difficult, if not nearly impossible, to assess the profile Prep745.

This profile with a GMAT score of (say) 685+ would seem extremely strong, while this same profile at a GMAT score of (say) 625 would look quite ordinary. Hope you appreciate.

Good luck!
