Yes you can appear in GMAT on the day of the deadline.

However since your official scores will not be available by the application deadline, I believe there is some kind of a self declaration that you need to make about your scores, at the time of the application.

Would be best if you can write to ISB in advance, to know about these formalities.

Hi jayagr,

No score can guarantee an admit. While a 665 is decent, a lot depends on the strength of your overall profile as well. Hence, if the possibility to retake the test exists, you might want to consider the same.

All the best!

Hi, I scored 665 on the GMAT focus, will it be good enough for ISB

What is a decent GRE score for good chances for someone with average scads?

The average GRE last year was around 328/329.

All the best!

Do we have access to the question for the reviewers? Is it publicly available?
There is a mix of competency based MCQ questions as well as open ended essay type questions. Sharing samples of the essay type questions below -

1. Please provide a brief description of your interaction with the applicant.
2. How does the applicant’s performance compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles?
3. Describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you have given the applicant.
4. Is there anything else we should know?

Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) if you have any specific questions.

Hi, can I give my GMAT on the last day of the R1 application deadline, or day before?
While you can technically appear for GMAT on the last day of the application deadline, please keep some buffer to avoid any rush closer to the deadline

jaggisrishti
Hi, recently started my GMAT prep using TTP, looking for a study buddy. About me - I’m currently working in finance in a UK based bank with around 3 years of work ex and planning to give GMAT in 2-3 months time.
There is a dedicated group for GMAT Study Partners. You can check that out as well. Might be helpful

Profile Details:
Male Candidate
10th (ICSE)- 85%
12th (ISCE)(PCM)- 80%
College Manipal University Jaipur, BA(Mass Communication), CGPA: 9.1
Work Ex: A total of 2 years 5 months (As of July’ 25)

1. Currently working as Business Development Manager at a healthy snack startup.

2. Worked as Business Development Executive at a Food and Beverage Eco friendly packaging startup in Mumbai for a year.

3. Worked as a Business Development Executive with a Football Club in Rajasthan for a year.

Starting my GMAT prep from today, can someone please help with my few doubts :
- What time should I plan to write my GMAT?
- With the profile I have, and considering to apply in Round 2, what are some really important factors I need to keep in mind?
- When should I ideally start working on my essays and LOR’s for ISB Round2 application?
- How many LOR’s are good to be submitted?
While you can write the exam till 7th Dec for R2, would encourage you to take it slightly earlier than that. Also, given your profile and work-ex, target a score of 675+ to improve your chances. Only 1 LOR is required. I would love to understand more about the nature of your job, post MBA goals and extracurriculars to be able to do a more personalized assessment of your profile. You can book a free session with ISB alum at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) to discuss about your profile and application strategy in more detail

*Need help with profile review*
Scored 315 in GRE ( Q-162 and v-153). Planning on giving another attempt in July

Profile Details:
Male Candidate
10th - 9 CGPA
12th - 85%
College BITS Pilani, Manufacturing Engineering, CGPA: 7.5
Work Ex: A total of 3 years (As of July’ 25)
1. At Ola for 2 years: 6 months as business Analyst and 1.5 year as Associate Program Manager
2. At Gokwik for 1 year as Associate Product Manager
Had leadership roles in college for almost 2 years straight.

Would be thankful for suggestions on how to align applications with the profile and for increasing the score.
Also, what are the chances with the current score?
Like others have already mentioned, your top priority should be to improve your GRE score to 327+. Given your work-ex across product management, program management and business analyst, it would be critical for you to link your future goals to the experience gained so far. Also, make sure to leverage your leadership experience in college to add another dimension to your application. Feel free to reach out to us at Preppie (https://www.preppie.in) for a more detailed conversation.

I’m asking because I’ll get a chance to send a few scores for free. Should I use them or not is the question.
No problem in sending the scores multiple times if you are re-taking the exam
