Anyone has an idea about Video assessment?
I just got an email saying that I have been invited to complete an assessment (Video assessment).

It is like a pre-recorded video with questions and I just need to answer the questions with just one attempt for each question. (30 min long)

is this new format? is this an interview or just another step before the actual interview?

I received this too, even I am not sure about the format.
Did everyone who applied, received this email??

I got the Video Assessment Invite , and then after giving that I just got invited to the virtual community assessment as well with a current student and staff. so I guess I got both invites. The video assessment was straight forward. The first question was just verifying your identity and then 3 random questions from a pool of pre-determined questions. 20 seconds to prep and 2 mins to answer. My question was is it a good sign that I got invited to both? Is there any past statistic of what percent get invited for community assessment and what percent of those get selected?

Yes, getting invites is a good sign that school is interested in you. But like all other parts of the application, interviews too hold a specific weightage. And alone interviews can not result in an admit as evidenced by multiple "great interview stories turning into denied admissions". Do your best and try not to think too much about the rest. The day decisions are out, you'll get the real picture. So why stress over something that's not in your hands.
