Jones Essays statement: Full-Time MBA & Professional MBA Required Short Answer Responses (100-word limit, each): Short Answer Response #1: "In 100 words or less, please share your short-term goals." Short Answer Response #2: "In 100 words or less, please share your long-term goals." Full-Time MBA & Professional MBA Required Creative Essay (choose one topic and response format): Please choose to answer one of the following prompts: Prompt #1: "What movie, song, or book has most influenced your life and the way you view the world? Why?" Prompt #2: "While we know a picture is worth 1000 words, in 500 words or less tell us the story of a photo of your choosing that has significant value in your life experiences. Please feel free to share your photo!" Prompt #3: "Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the United States and food is a large element of culture. If you had to design a 3-course menu to prepare for your future MBA Core Team, what would be on the menu that showcases more about who you are?" Please choose only one method of communication that you would like to use for your response: - Write an essay (500-word limit) - Share a video (one to three-minute time limit) Executive MBA Required Essay (750-word limit): “As you evaluate where you are today, how have your educational, professional, and personal endeavors brought you to this point? In addition, please explain how the Rice EMBA is part of your future plan.” Optional Essay (750-word limit): If you have any additional information for the admissions committee or if you wish to clarify any aspect of your application (including breaks in employment, your choice of recommendation providers, your past academic performance, etc.), you may submit an additional, optional essay.

Hello. Thanks for your offer to help. I realize from one of your old posts that you are currently enrolled at Rice; I hope that’s going on well. Actually, I don’t require any help now but I’m just a bit curious if getting a waiver reduces one’s chances of getting admitted at Rice or any other B School.

Anyone has an idea about Video assessment? I just got an email saying that I have been invited to complete an assessment (Video assessment). It is like a pre-recorded video with questions and I just need to answer the questions with just one attempt for each question. (30 min long) is this new format? is this an interview or just another step before the actual interview?

I received this too, even I am not sure about the format. Did everyone who applied, received this email??

I will say it’s more than 700. But it doesn’t matter because they see every application holistically. I know people with a 700 getting full scholarship and a 730 getting only 60k. It depends
