Sorry to hear, nupurgupt.

Seems like K is rolling out decisions for those who interviewed before Feb, with some exception of course. Day like this I can't focus at work, particularly when I don't feel good about my K interview.

Good luck for those waiting (including me)!!!!

On a side note, I got a provisional finaid package via e-mail. The good news is that I received a $13K Sears scholarship. Not sure what that is, really, as I have neither experience nor desire to go into Retail... I'm not complaining though :-)

River, call Julie Israel regarding your package. She was VERY nice when I called her today and made sure that Kellogg had all of my docs. She also asked that I'd give her a call if I didn't get an email by tomorrow.

has anyone with less than 3 years work experience been admitted to Kellogg so far? I may be wrong but among the top schools they seem to go for more mature candidates

I met some people at DAK that had 2 to 4 years WE. There is one couple that my wife and I spent a bunch of time talking to since he was in my section and she was with my wife looking at dog friendly housing. That said there were a lot of folks in the 5-7 years experience too, so it goes both ways. I did meet several folks with 10+ years and so to keep that average around 5 years they have to accept people with only a few years experience.

Congrats on the scholarship, I was told by a couple students that they have a lot of corporate scholarships that they do not put on their list. Wasnt sure how true that is but I guess you proved that. I think a lot of marketing people go into the retail side, I met one 2nd year who was going to be a buyer at Target and a couple others that had internships with places like Walmart and other large retailers...so it could be your interest in marketing that helped secure that. That adds another wrinkle in your decision process huh?

Here's to hoping that the rest of us admits that havent gotten our packages have some luck like you three have had so far.

A little confused about the transcripts... do I need to have my school send official transcripts to Kellogg? I have some scanned copies of my unofficial/student copy transcripts, but I'm not sure if uploading those is all Kellogg wants. What did you guys/gals do? Thanks!

I had an official transcript that I scanned and used that. You should call and ask about the unofficial ones. Its probably OK since you need to send an official one if you are admitted but better safe than sorry, give them a ring. Make sure you let everyone know what they tell you so anyone else who is curious this year or next will know.

I think its fairly common in some fields to join at about the 3 year WE mark, banking and other places where you pretty much have a 2-3 year job. I met a couple IB and one kid who was finishing up a rotational management program. As long as you have a good reason on why now then you will be fine. Three years is enough time to get some good experience and to have the ability to contribute in class...you just need to make it clear that now is the right time and wouldnt be better off waiting 2 more years to apply.

Nervous, congratulations on your scholarship offer. Its decision time for you. So, how are you ranking all your offers based on your likelihood of matriculating. Will you be at BDW? I will be there and also at DAK II
