Kellogg published their full report for 2008...best career report you will find anywhere.

https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/career_employer/employment/2008/Kellogg_Employment_Report_2008.pdf

Am I reading this correctly? There are people earning 250K a year on thir first job out of Kellogg?

Indeed, and a few more at $190-200k. Of course there's no way of knowing what experience they have to command such a high salary.

No kidding. That is the most impressive and detail oriented report I've seen....

P.S. - NJMike is a lucky dude....

It could've been you, ninkorn. Now you'll just have to wonder about the possibilities...

Just had my interview last night with an alum. I think I must be a rambler or something because in an hour we really only got through 5 or 6 questions or so, e.g.

-Walk me through your resume
-Why have you made the career choices you did
-What clubs would you join at Kellogg
-Talk about a time where you worked on a team and encountered issues
-Talk about another team-based challenge you faced
-Where else are you applying

my interviewer has lived all over the place, Europe, South America, North America, Asia, you name it. He also brought an article about the school for me to read beforehand which I thought was interesting.

Overall I'd give my interview with him an 8 out of 10 (compared to Wharton/Duke which Id give 7s and Columbia which I'd give a 9.5). My main priority of the interview was to make clear to him the things that differentiated Kellogg from the other schools I applied to and feel I did a pretty good job of that. Anyway, finally done with interviews, I'm thinking some funky facial hair or a tattoo may be in order.

in looking at the report - sign-on bonuses for some are pretty amazing -- $70k in consulting, $60k in marketing really? wow..

I am an international applicant.
All the required elements of my application went complete.
I got an interview waiver, so the next decision will be A/W/D.

The process at Kellogg was pretty fast compared to the other schools I have applied.

Hope the interview waiver will not be an issue.

I would like to, but I can't afford to go up twice in one month. Are you going?

I'm thinking about it, but it is quite expensive. I wonder how much it helps...

I bet it helps some, for sure. However, unless we get a bunch of people that come out and say they got the invitation, I think (or perhaps hope) it means they think you're very competitive already.

What exactly is a BMA conference? Care to elaborate?

Actually, you may get an invitation to interview by phone before your decision - and most likely will not be accepted without one. Don't fret - I know a couple who have been admitted this way, including myself.

I'm in the same boat - just got the interview waiver. Curiously, my status page still doesn't say whether or not they have all of my materials. Oh well, the fact they've given me the waiver must mean I'm in the system somewhere...
