You won't have to send official transcripts until you're admitted.

Positive thinking my friend. Now repeat after me: I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

It seems all of the GMATClubbers applied in Round 1. This thread is deader than a NW basketball team...

Wow you're right. I expected more Gclubbers to apply in R1 but not that many more.
We're still rooting for your R2-ers though :)

so i am set for my on-campus interview on the 20th of Feb, thats the only time they had a 1pm available. I am probably gonna fly in that day from NYC. Looking forward to meeting up with any Gclubbers attending Kellogg.

Also picked a later date, since i think i would have retaken my gmat by then and if i score considerably higher, I will inform the interviewer ..

Good luck with the interview fresinha12! I'd recommend an early flight to Chicago - this time of year you never can predict weather delays between NYC and Chicago.

Very cool! I'm actually doing my on-campus interview on the 20th of Feb at 2 PM! Flying in from NYC the night before and making a weekend out of it. Should be finding out about my promotion in 2 weeks, so definitely a talking point!

Good luck!

Toss me in on the R2 app list as well. Maybe this has already been talked about before but does Kellogg do phone interviews with int'l applicants or only face-to-face ?

EDIT: From Kellogg's website:
I received an email informing me that my interview was waived. What does this mean, and am I at a disadvantage?
Interview waivers, which are sometimes granted when regional demand is heavy, have no bearing on admission decisions. If we feel an interview would be helpful in further assessing a candidate or would aid in rendering a decision, we will contact the applicant to schedule a telephone interview. Applicants may not request a telephone interview; we will invite waived candidates for telephone interviews throughout each application round. Many of our admitted students initially received an interview waiver and were subsequently contacted for a telephone interview.

So I guess you can.

I got the same thing, was later asked to interview by phone and was eventually admitted. I personally know at least one other person the same thing happened to this year and have heard of several others - so you can be calm that this has no negative influence on your chances. It just means that they do not have enough interviewers from your country.

Good luck!

Question on interview travel (on campus) - if I wanted to leave the night of a 2pm interview what's the earliest safe time for a flight? I was thinking around 7pm.

well you can be at the airport by 4 quit comfortably since its like 30 mins away.. its just a matter of what time you feel comfortable. I would do 7 if you were checking bags or 6 if you werent. No point cutting it any closer and stressing about it during your interview.

Thanks for the quick response. I agree - I'll do the more comfortable option. There's an 8pm that is cheap.

My wife and I are heading up to Chicago Thursday evening to try and plead my case with admission as to why I should be admitted off the waitlist on Friday. They said that I couldn't set up a formal meeting but that I should stop by in the morning when they are the least busy. They also suggested signing up to have lunch with a current student. Any other suggestions on what I should take in while we're there? I'm going to hand deliver a letter addressing some of the weakpoints of my application that may have kept me from admission and summarize why I want to go to Kellogg so badly. Any other suggestions on what I should try and accomplish in the brief time I'll have with admissions?

Thanks for the feedback
