Congratulations! Nothing like an admit from a top 5 school in the bag to make all the effort worth it! Plus I think you're a local to Chicago as well. Well done!

Thanks guys!

gps80: you are right....I am a Chicago resident and I also went to Northwestern so a ding from Kellogg would have totally tainted my NU and Evanston memories. I am really glad that won't be the case though.

Hi Pallavi,

I interviewed on Feb 6th with a local alumnus as Chicago residents don't have the option to interview on-campus. I think my application status went complete the next week (Feb 13th) and I received an admit call today.

Hope that helps!

Indeed congrats shayne, one heck of a first admit. Is Kellogg your #1 or could one of your other schools still win out?

Hi Shayne,

Thanks for the info .. i also interviewed on Feb -6 (on campus) and went complete around that time...

I know there is some randomness to the application process but was still wondering how far they have come, most of other admits interviewed in Jan.

congrats once again...

Thanks! I know! Seriously!
It's not sunk in as yet to be honest.

It actually is and unless I get a really tempting offer (w/ lots of $) from any other school it will be a very easy decision for me.

Pallavi,
Yeah it is quite random I suppose. I know there are folks on here and on the BW forum who interviewed back in November/December and still haven't heard anything while someone on the BW forum reported about his friend who interviewed on Monday last week and got dinged the same week on Friday.

By the way, are you MMM or 2Y?

Good luck!

Congrats mate!

No but I too was curious to know the same. Hopefully some R1 admits on here may know.

Quick question: did the acceptance e-mail include a line about providing a stipend to travel for DAK?

Congrats!!!

As for fellowships/scholarships, I think we'll find out about this after applying for financial aid. I've heard that some admits get scholarships during their admit call, but this seems to be extremely rare, based on the GMAT Club & BW forums.
