For R2 applicants, when can we hope to hear back from Kellogg, if we've already had our interview before the application deadline?

Congrats to all the admits!

Do you mind sharing the number of words in your essays?

All but my career-goals essay are within the limit. My Essay 1 stands at 630 words.

Cheers,
Unplugged

Two of my essays (2 & 4) were dead-on the word limit mark, the other two (1 & 3) were a few words, five or so, less than the word limit. As long as you only exceed these word limits marginally, there is no reason that essays which convey a well-articulated story, bear themes that shows "fit" with Kellogg, contain details that testify to meticulous research into the programme, and possess the ability to effectively differentiate yourself from your applicant pool shouldn't resonate with the Admissions Committe; these, more so than word count, are the hallmarks of successful application essays.

Ding. Found out today, even though I never got an email. The rejection letter was dated 12/11, so I guess I couldve received the bad news earlier as opposed to today (which is my birthday).

Pretty bummed about this for a number of reasons. Kellogg was my #1 choice and I thought it was my best app too. Oh well....I guess it wasnt meant to be.

Good luck to anyone else still waiting.

I withdrew from the Kellogg waitlist, then got an email from Sue Drella asking me what I was doing next year.
Anyway, I encourage everyone who is on any school's waitlist but have no intention on attending that school if/when admitted to withdraw... you may make someone else's day..

To everyone on the wait list, what does it mean to be wait listed while they continue handing out admits? Does this mean that they have a lot of your type already and are simply focusing on diversity? It is worth pondering.

I read somewhere that reapplicants to Kellogg have a 37% admit rate. Is that true?

I think I was the one that said it. It was on one of the previous years BW school profile.

Hey everyone!

Last week I received an acceptance email for the class of 2012! My profile..

27/Peru/710/4yrs/Supply Chain

Anybody else from LatAm?

One question: if Kellogg grants someone a scholarship, is it communicated in the acceptance email, in the formal letter that is mailed to your house, or do you have to apply to it?

Thank you!

For Kellogg, if you recieved a large, named scholarship, it would be conveyed at the time of the acceptance. Otherwise you will have to apply to the other smaller scholarships. Maybe Jerz and Isa can chime in.

hi guys..
i had planned for R1... n hence filled up the part-1 application before 2 Oct (first deadline).. however my professional commitments prevented me from completing the application part-2. Now i am targeting R2. recently i got a mail from Kellogg saying that I have been granted an interview waiver 'cos of high demand (i live in New delhi). I would like to know if there is any other guy having the same case. Also, are the chances of selection entirely independent of this waiver (as stated by the admission committee in their mail)?
