I think the interviewer will just have your resume. Think of it this way some of the R2 people had their interviews even before they submitted their part II. So naturally their interviewer will not have the essays. I am quite sure that your interviewer will just have your resume.

Seriously, Just read the e-mail and do what it says! My e-mail told me to call immediately and I received it on a Friday afternoon at 5:00. So I called early next morning. Use common sense!

Well. I wasnt sure about the procedure schools take to communicate the alums. So, I first sent a short email and thanksfully he replied immediately.

One more question. Does the school send them the whole application set including the essays? I am asking this because I dont want to rehase the same leadership stories if he would have already seen them in the essays.

No worries. I overreacted. I encourage you to read the e-mail thoroughly. It says that you need to send your interviewer your resume. This indicates that they have not looked at the rest of your application. Good luck!

I submitted Part 1 on 15th Dec and Part 2 on 14th Jan... I'm an international applicant. It's almost 6 weeks since I submitted Part 1 and I've neither received an interview invite nor a waiver. Should I contact the adcom?

I am also on the same boat. I applied on the last day of Part 1 deadline and still have no information on interview.

hey all,

thought i'd chime in with my interview after action report.

we met at a starbucks near where I assume he lived after work. we scheduled our meeting to be an hour, but it ended up being about an 1hr 45 mins.

we discussed traditional stuff: career path, what experience i gleaned from each position and how i used it to my advantage in each subsequent position., etc. i can't say i got any off the wall questions, but i did notice near the end of our interview, his eyes began to glaze over and i knew it was time to wrap it up. but i'm glad i had the opportunity to go over my career in a manner that really let me explain my 12 year work history rather than the cliff notes version. then time for me to ask him questions. i ask about his personal history, what other schools he got into and why he chose kellogg as the one he ultimately decided to pursue. i asked him about the colleagues he interacted with, etc. basic stuff.

i guess i really didn't give anyone any nuggets of insider info, but it was pretty basic. only thing i could say was different was that this interview was longer than the other ones i've been to.

Been lurking on this board, need to officially throw my hat in the ring for R2. Submitted 12 January.

I recently had my interview with a Kellogg alumnus as well. It also went long, 1 hour 30 minutes. It was in his office after the work day.

Mostly interview focused in on why Kellogg, why MBA, why now. Asked a few what if questions: what if I know I'm right on a case but my team doesn't agree, what's my approach to get the group to follow my idea. Why Kellogg if want to do finance, is it just to get rich? what makes me different from the other 8-9 people he will interview, why should I be the one to get in, they're usually just as smart, just as accomplished.

So a few tough questions but the interview was very conversational in tone. Went well, hopefully he submits a "recommend" to the adcom. We'll see.

Count me in for round #2. I have got an off-campus interview request and will call my contact tomorrow.

I understand that Kellogg interview a large percentage of applicants. Do you know what the percentage is?

that is ridiculously detailed and comprehensive. seems like there wasn't much of a drop off in terms of % going to consulting, all things considered. The salary ranges are pretty extreme too.

Looks like my status still hasn't changed. I think I'm gonna send them a quick email to see if there's anything missing from my application.

I got a reply from Kellogg, and this is what they said:

"At this point we are reviewing all round 2 applications to make sure that all components are complete, this process will take a few weeks. Once we have reviewed your application we will post an update on the Check Application Status page of our website. If any materials are missing an email will be sent to you, in addition to an update being placed on the Check Application Status webpage."

Pretty standard stuff, methinks.
