Did you guys notice that your job descriptions appeared cut off on the preview form, even though you stayed within the character limits ? Im wondering if this is something I should be concerned about before submitting Part I.

TheDream,
I would modify it so it appears to fit both the pdf and html print out. Just to be on the safe side. No reason to risk it. You can submit your resume later. :)

Unfortunately I already submitted part 1 and realized I had issues where stuff was cut off as well (EC leadership positions and short term career goal). However, when viewing this in the HTML format (not the PDF format) all the information displayed correctly...

Cheers. That topic is actually covered in the Technical Support; they basically say that if its cut off, not to worry about it. As long as the info is saved on the system, you're good.

On that note, just submitted Part I of the app. Goodbye $250 :(

Whoo congrats everyone for submitting Part I. TheDream, ACNguy, Billyjeans.

So I have a new thing that happen this morning, my manager came over to talk to me about a promotion (and to yell at me for showing up 2 hours late to work), however since I haven't graduated (one of the conditions of promotion) I missed the review board for this quarter, most likely I'll get promoted in November, with that said, would it be better to hold off my kellogg app until after my promotion? It won't come with any additional responsibilities but probably come with a 10-12% increase in salary. Any thoughts?

I'd submit it and then send it in as supplemental info later on.

And add highhopes to that list, she has done it long time ago. :P

Man, 10-12% raise in this economy? I need to buy some (XYZ-Company) stock. I got panned on my raise (worst in 3 yrs), probably shouldn't have told my boss about the bschool thing before the review. :)

Okay, ...and highhopes. It's not a raise it's a promotion. I think engineering gets screwed in terms of raises and promotion, we start our okay but they are kinda small. not to say that 10% wouldn't help.

Depends on On-campus or off-campus. I believe off campus interviews they will have to match you with an alumni.

Thanks GoBruins and highhopes,

Just got an email from adcom saying that my part 1 has been received. I guess they will arrange an off-campus interview.

Did one mistake while filling the form and for that also got an email. Mistyped my addess expiry date as 06- 2009 instead 2010. Does this kind of mistakes impact the admission decision? I am too worried.

Don't worry too much about it. Think about it from the adcom's perspective, I just read 100 applications with 20 pages worth of info, do you think the actually scan where you live and when you plan to move out which is located like in line buried amoung another 20 pages of text?

I did Booths mock application review last year (great event by the way) and I stopped carrying after the transcript portion. Such a bore.

Can someone please post the recommender questions? I'm not applying until RD 2 so I'm not opening an app yet, but I'd like to put together a recommender packet early on and I want to give them a heads up on what they will be asked. Thanks.

Here you go.
thanks

Guys, Just a minor question:

While uploading essays, instruction says: "When uploading your essay, please include at least a one-inch top margin on each page, and re-state the question at the beginning of the essay."

Does this mean that the each essay answer including the questions should be less than 600 words or the 600 word limit applies only to answers?
