Does anyone have any idea how long after interviewing it takes for acceptance/rejection decisions to come out?

so what did ull answer for that question? was it more ur strengths or ur leaderhsip style?

also bpr- do you know anyone else who has been scheduled for an int in singapore. its been 3 weeks ince i submitted and am getting a lil paranoid since i havent got one scheduled as yet tho i know they have lots of alumni here :(

I think it's both - though probably more style. They want to know that you can work successfully with a team/how you interact with people, but also that you have the leadership attributes too.

Correct - last year's thread will tell you, but it was early December that the first ones came out.

Others may have pointed this out already, but even though decisions will start coming out before January, it's still a random order from the completed ones (i.e. those with interview completed or waived). In other words, having everything complete early would give you a better chance of having it read and a decision made but it could just as easily go all the way through the official notification deadline. Kind of nerve wracking, but I guess it's nice to have the possibility of finding out before Christmas. In my case, I had both parts submitted on time and interview done on campus in mid-October. One of my recs was almost a week late though so now I have no idea if I might find out early

Riverripper, or any other Kellogg students:

I have an alumni interview coming up on Thursday. Any tips on how to prepare?

So far I'm assuming that I need to:

Know my resume inside and out
Articulate why I want to go to Kellogg
Describe my future career goals

Am I missing anything?

A couple of thoughts:

-Make sure you can tell stories both about being a leader, and a team player.
-Show you really understand how Kellogg is DIFFERENT and weave this into your why Kellogg story.
-Do a little bit of research and be able to highlight some specific classes or clubs that you are interested in.

Overall, its a pretty laid back experience. Don't sweat it too much.

interviewed today with adcom. There were a lot of prospective students today, mostly in suits. My interview lasted 25min.

Work me thru resume.
What do you do at currently work. etc
Tell me about a teamwork experience.
Leadership story/and talked about a EC briefly
Why Kellogg
How you would contribute to Kellogg
Ended with me asking her about a club activity and general information on career prospective.

I talked somewhat fast. She's neither friendly nor unfriendly. She did laugh here and there. But overall it was a conversation. I sit across from her in her office about 4 ft away.

I got email from Adcom with the alum interviewer info in my area. When I call the alum, can I ask them for a few days time, or will that sound lame?
I have Sloan deadline tomorrow and want a break for atleast a day to prepare for kellogg interview.
How did you guys go about setting this up? Phone or email? and if by phone, did your interviewer inquire about your schedule and what suits you?
And Kellogg's is not a blind interview is it?

thanks

I have an on-campus interview scheduled, so I canot comment on any of the off-campus goings-on.

However, the Kellogg representative I spoke to on the phone specifically told me it would be a blind interview.

why is that lame? Find a time that works for both of yalls schedules. I didn't do mine until 2.5 weeks later because I told my interviewer that I was in the middle of putting my application together and wanted to be able to have my thoughts organized when we met. I think the email says that you need to do it within a month of receiving notification so that should be your only restriction.

Co-sign the above post from albyman. When I got my interviewer's contact info, I proposed a few dates that were a couple of weeks out, because I had a few key things on the go at work, and knew that I would not have time to adequately prepare. Throw something out there, and see what works for the both of you.

Good luck !

I just read the Kellogg adcom blog entry, and I'm a little confused now.

Do we have to send our official GMAT scores to Kellogg through mba.com right now? For my R1 application, I just sent them the first page of the official gmat score report in pdf format.

If Kellogg was not one of the 5 schools that you send your GMAT score too when you took the test I am almost positive that you need to have an official score sent. Scanning a copy of your official score was optional.
