laste year didnt decisions start in 1st week dec?

I was bored earlier in the week and went through all of the December posts in last year's Kellogg thread. Even though admits did start going out the first week of December, it seemed the majority of decisions were still done either right before Christmas or after the new year. It would be awesome to hear back in the next week or two, but I'm not holding my breath! In some ways, this is more nerve wracking than the schools that release all on one day.

Both. Some scholarships are announced at admission, some later on when you apply for financial aid. I even received a scholarship notification a few weeks after getting my original financial aid package, which was a nice surprise. Kellogg is pretty generous with scholarships, there's a lot of people I know who got some sort of scholarship money.

Hi! I'm new to the GMAT Club. I'm a reapplicant for R2. I'm curious how you all are interpreting Essay #3. Are you writing in the 1st person or 3rd person?

I battled it a lot, and finally settled for third person.
It's tough to draw a fine line between blowing your trumpet and sounding objective though .

There is def no straight forward anwser to this question. I'd say the "harder" the things you plan on discussing (the more the reader can see them throughout the rest of the application) the more you can sway toward the 3rd person. For example, "I'd would love to have Sally as a classmate because she wroked at X and won award Y." I think the "softer" things come acorss as cheesy when done in the third person. For example, "Bill will be a great classmate because he is a nice guy." Those type of statements are better from a first person perspective.

Full discolusre, I wrote mine in the first person. More importatnly, I don't think there is a right and wrong to this. Whatever comes easier. Also, as you can prob tell from spelling/grammer, I've been drinking, so please take everything with a large grain of salt....
