Hi! I'm new to the GMAT Club. I'm a reapplicant for R2. I'm curious how you all are interpreting Essay #3. Are you writing in the 1st person or 3rd person?
There is def no straight forward anwser to this question. I'd say the "harder" the things you plan on discussing (the more the reader can see them throughout the rest of the application) the more you can sway toward the 3rd person. For example, "I'd would love to have Sally as a classmate because she wroked at X and won award Y." I think the "softer" things come acorss as cheesy when done in the third person. For example, "Bill will be a great classmate because he is a nice guy." Those type of statements are better from a first person perspective.
Full discolusre, I wrote mine in the first person. More importatnly, I don't think there is a right and wrong to this. Whatever comes easier. Also, as you can prob tell from spelling/grammer, I've been drinking, so please take everything with a large grain of salt....
