I just received an admit! Called by an adcom member moments ago. Good luck to everyone out there - wait is tedious but now totally worth it!

That's a shame -- I'm sorry. Just focus on the R2 apps now.

Did they call you to let you know, or was it an email?

Just an email. Honestly, been dinged by Chicago and Kellogg, which were my far far reach schools anyway. Got my i/v invite from Darden which I feel is a better target school for someone like me anyway. I'm not going to let this get me down! Kellogg was my first choice but life goes on. To those that got/get acceptances, best of luck to you all. Hopefully we can all stay in touch and extend our "network" hahaha.

Something of a tangent from admits/dings/etc., hoping to get some feedback from the solid knowledge base here.

Kellogg is last of the 4 schools I'm applying to as far as current preferences. (I do realize I could very well be dinged here, but just run with me...) This is based on my own impressions from school visits, chatting with people, and other research. However, I feel like I've probably neglected to do truly adequate research, and I'd like to sell Kellogg to myself a little more over the next few weeks (especially if I'm accepted). Obviously, part of it depends on what one is looking to do, and as I'd like to focus on finance, that gives Wharton and Booth an advantage there. As far as fit, I felt each school had something that "felt better" than what the others had to offer, but I didn't feel one was far superior to any others. I think H and W lead in strength of brand name / alumni network.

Ignoring geography, would anyone here pick Kellogg over the other schools I'm applying to? If so, which, and why?

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that AcnGuy.

Time to focus on R2 apps now i guess. Best of luck to you on your R2 apps and Darden.

I wonder as to when they release the decisions for International applicants. Good luck to all out there.

You guys are all fantastic. If nothing else, this forum is a perfect remedy for the rejection that many applicants get. I'll get over this. It was my top choice but now I'm just going to focus my energy on schools that I actually got a better vibe from but just was taking geography into consideration and making Kellogg my number 1. It's a fantastic school but there are other fantastic schools out there. Now is just time to really invest in my Duke and Michigan apps and really, really, really focus on nailing my Darden interview in a few weeks.

Honestly, I really do appreciate everyone's support. I imagine going through this process alone is extremely difficult and you guys all mitigate that and it really is remarkable. To all those still waiting on Kellogg, truly best of luck. Keep on representing this forum well and go and do great things in Evanston and well beyond. Having said that, I'll still be around and answer any and all questions (though, admittedly probably not on this thread AS much :-D )
