If its any relief for you guys, I interviewed Sept 30th and submitted Part 2 in early October - still no news and I'm not worried.

Did you get through Wharton?

I only got the email but no call. Is it a good idea to call them straight away to get more information like KelloggID etc. or should I just wait for my packet to arrive ? Sorry for repeating this but how can I know about the scholarship details? The email is completely silent about it :?:

Give them a call. The site has good info on Days at Kellogg and other topics you're probably curious about (housing, pre-recs, etc.)

You're very admirable!!! I remember being so panicked more than 2 wks ahead of the deadline! :) Oh and then there's friday - another day to worry about (Wharton). Best of luck on both schools :)

Hey djknif, Washington DC here too. Lets assume they are calling geographically ;-)

During my admissions call last Friday I asked the rep why some people were called on Wednesday, some on Friday, and some still waiting. I told him that I was awaret that people had been getting calls in large numbers since Wednesday and that I had been going crazy for two days. He laughed and said that they actaully read these blogs sometimes (interesting/scary). He said that we give them way too much credit for their decision communication methodologies. He said that they have a stack of admitted applicants. The admissions staff splits them up and works through their respective piles as quickly as possible. I happened to be in the Friday stack and that I shouldn't read any further into it.

I like to think that I willed my admit into existence by obsessively checking blogs and status page. I guess I was just in the Friday stack.

Can anyone share what the ding message says in the Check Application Status view?

This is exactly the ding message:

Dear XXXXXXX:

The Admissions Committee has completed its review of your application for the Kellogg School of Management and Two-Year Program. Despite your many merits as a candidate, I regret to inform you that we are not able to offer you a place in the entering class.

The Admissions Committee carefully evaluated your application in the following areas: work experience, career plans, academic ability and performance, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership and interpersonal skills. Decisions are based upon a thorough evaluation of your individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as your qualifications relative to all others in our applicant pool. This decision is not a reflection of your personal qualities and achievements or your potential for success in management, but merely a reflection of the limited number of places in the class.

We certainly wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and thank you for your interest in the Kellogg School of Management and Two-Year Program .

Sincerely,

Beth Flye
Assistant Dean, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid
