Last year around this time in Dec.. the thread had only reached 50.. now 80... only 2 possibilities
1) more GC users from Kellogg app pool!
2) or in general more Kellogg applicants !

watz ur guesses! given that the applicantion have shown a mixed trend => wharton, kenan flager lesser applicants MIT, Duke more applicants (offcorse Duke gave some offers and baited in )

i was actually thinking the same, but realized its so easy for the numbers to be skewed. it only takes a few trigger-happy regulars to add pages of back-forth conversation!

that said i stil do agree that there's either a higher ratio of GC users, or more kellogg applicants, or both :)

Hi Guys

My GF received her admit couple of hours back. She is in Delhi (India).

The email said that they wanted to call but due to the time difference they could not call. The status on “Check Your Status” is not yet updated.
Her stats:-
730 (98% Q and 82% V), 73% from top engineering college (think IIT, DCE and BITS) and 4 years WE with semi conductor giant.
Interview invite on 02 Nov and interview conducted on 23 Nov.
Good luck for those who are still waiting. There are still some more to go, so hang in thereis still hope

I haven't kept track of all the people admitted / dinged on this forum, but it seems to me that a large majority of those that have already heard from AdCom live in the US...

International applicants (living outside the US) may be underrepresented on GC, but even so, the current admit/ding count does not seem to reflect the large number of international applications received by Kellogg. (Businessweek says that 43% of all Kellogg applications come from overseas...)

I deduct that many international students are yet to hear positive news from Kellogg...

Got the call 30 minutes ago - I'm in.
Congrats - man, you are cool as a cucumber.
Thanks guys! After being waitlisted for 7 months last year, I lost the ability to get too wrapped up in decision announcements. Kellogg is a great school, I am keeping fingers crossed for you guys, you deserve it!

Whooo whoooo, congrats!!!!!... I only signed on to see if you're in!!! goodluck with all other schools too!!!!

Quite a few people in the US on this forum who've heard good/bad news are actually non-US citizens. We all agree that a large pool is based overseas. However, 43% of Kellogg applications don't come from overseas; many of them come from applicants who are considered "international" because they are non-US citizens.

i am going crazy waiting ahhh. i am praying for a lazy caller..but starting to really lose hope at this point.

I'm with you on that one. My gut tells me waitlist. :|

Praying for a call! It seems most people who originally said they were still waiting have received some good news. How many are still waiting?

2Y applicant in Boston. Interviewed off campus on 10/20. Still waiting.

US applicant based in Shanghai. Initially received interview waiver on 11/15, then completed phone interview on 12/6 (this has been the longest week of my LIFE so far). Still waiting here!!!

Best part of being in Shanghai is that I go to sleep and wake up to 10 new pages of gmatclub postings. hahaa, oh man...

Congratulations to the accepted ones! Are the notification e-mail going out right after the phone calls?

usually yes - on the phone (in my case at least ) she explained to me about what to expect in the email in terms of the link and enrollment decision stuff then she provided me with the username/password for the admitted students.

Hi Jowles, did you receive the email she was talking about that was supposed to contain importation information regarding enrollment decision, next steps etc. because when I called back, she told me that she would be sending me an email with all that information but haven't heard back. The userid she gave me is not working for me...will have to call her again anyways

Yeah I received the email like within the last few seconds of our call. While we were talking she was telling me what it would contain, gave me the sign-in info and that she was about to send it - also that my status wouldnt be changing for about 1 day. I think you should give her a call and verify the log-in information she gave you. they want u to enroll so definitely wouldnt mind getting a call for clarification :)
