hold on man.. let them first interview those people who they've invited, and then let them extend some more interviews to guys with waivers. *hopefully*

Based on last years thread it looks like the first reports on calls were 2 weeks before the deadline. Assuming same timeline I would not expect anything before 12/5. Also with a new head in Admissions I would not be surprised if decisions are all released closer to the date.

I am sure they already have a file of applications with decisions made either way. They are probably just waiting for a certain date to pass to minimize the number of calls they get from applicants about their applications.

Till when should we retain hope? This week? I mean they need some time to process the interview, plus some notice to schedule the interview (over phone or otherwise) so this week should be it. No?

I am of course talking about interview after a waiver.

Hi,
I finally got my interview invite with an alumnus in my city.

I'm mostly acquainted with the possible questions, thanks to clearadmit. But there's one nagging question that I thought you folks should help me with.

My interview is in a local cafe. What is the normal interview etiquette for paying the cheque?
I mean, of course I will reach out for the bill with full intention of paying it.
But I want to know from those in similar situations, how did you handle it?

Did you offer to pay?
Did you actually pay?
Is it polite to insist on paying?

(Both interviewer and interviewee are females)

It's silly really but the smallest things are stressing me out. If there are any interviewers on this forum, it would be nice if you shared your perspective on cheque etiquette during interviews.

Thanks.

Offer to pay but dont insist. I think you'll end up going dutch because that's Kellogg's policy. The alumnus will let you know anyway and paying the bill should be least of all your worries! Good luck with the interview!

Had a similar question for my Booth interview actually.. Once the interview was over, I offered to pay for the coffees but the alum asked me not to worry about it. I did not press too much and he seemed totally cool with it...

I think I'm going MIA from gmatclub once December hits. I think all of the anticipation of admits/waitlists/denials will just drive me crazy.

Is anyone else working on R2 apps for other schools. I thought it would take my mind off of all this, but thus far it hasn't.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I am trying to work on R2 applications, but it is so hard to motivate myself right now.

I second that. Good idea to keep off these forums!

Btw, for all those waiting for interview invite after waiver, I was reading through last year's thread (yes, I am jobless) and it looks like we can expect invites even by Dec 4th! Not too many days left now.

...And admits start happening around Dec 8th!

No way you're going MIA!! We'll miss ya too much!!

As for R2 apps, I'm only going to start them now...IMO it'll be pretty easy to focus on them with R1 interviews all done & out of the way. I think it would've been far tougher if I was waiting for R1 invites AND simultaneously trying to work on R2 apps..

Quick question: How much weightage does the Interview have @ Kellogg application process? I think I bombed my interview last week, got a bit nervous I guess - my first interview in many years!

Sad situation huh :(
