Hi all,
I have been trying to contact my interviewer for the last 5 days (through his work email, personal email, and whatsapp) but to no avail.
Should I contact my regional manager to arrange a different interviewer or wait a few more days?
This doesnt look very promising.
Any help is appreciated.

loivoq that must be stressful. Yes, would just contact your regional manager and mention that you haven't had any success reaching your interviewer through email or whatsapp, and ask how you should proceed. Hopefully they will suggest a new interviewer. But I wouldn't go in asking for a new interviewer until they suggest it.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I think I am in the worst situation possible. My interviewer isn't replying and my regional manager is out of office. I'll have to call the admission office.

loivoq it will be OK. Keep in mind this is not your fault, and they way you're being ignored does not reflect upon your value as a candidate. It's their responsibility and they WILL fix it for you, their reputation relies on it. They will make allowances for what you've experienced with this joker. Stay positive.

Thank you. I hope to finalize my schedule with the interviewer asap since I have to travel for the interview.

Hello Gmatclub moderators or operators,

Would it be possible to have articles from the LBS Blog come under this thread as against the Class of 2018 thread.
I believe more people would be on this one, as that admission cycle is closed.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I've updated the thread link in the blog feed. LBS blog posts will appear in this discussion thread henceforth.

Best Regards,

MBAPrepCoach The interviewer finally replied to my message after I contacted the regional manager. Should I press my interviewer to finalize my schedule? He's been very slow in responding to my emails and I need to talk to my manager and arrange necessary plans to fly out of the country to interview.
I feel that interview is not going so well. My previous interviewers were very responsive to my emails.
Any help is appreciated.

I understand why you would be concerned. The fact that you had to get the regional manager involved for him to respond to you, it's just not great. When you said the interview wasn't going well do you mean that you don't think the interview *will* go well? I agree with you and I think that you should talk with the regional manager about setting something up with someone else. Otherwise I think you might regret it. You have a tight schedule and really just can't be playing games with this jerk. I might just try to politely explain that it's been a struggle to communicate with this person and that you have a very tight window and that it might be better for you to be paired with somebody who is a little bit more available. Very stressful that I'm sorry you're going through this. I think the idea would be to just make sure that you articulate your concerns without throwing this interviewer person under the bus. If the regional manager is not receptive might even think about getting in touch with David Simpson. This is your shot, so do what you need to do. He would probably be very sympathetic he's a very cool guy.

Hi all,
Im in such a dire situation. My interviewer is not responding to my email and my regional manager is not either. Should I escalate the matter to the admission director? I need to complete my interview by April 24th. Has anyone experienced this before?
Any help is appreciated.

I don't like saying this, but bruhh - chill.

If you make every reasonable effort to contact the interviewer (as I assume you have), there's nothing more you can do nor will the school hold it against you. This person has told the school that they will make time to interview you, it's not your fault if this isn't the case.

Hello loivoq,

I am not an expert in any way but i would suggest you send an email to the admissions email address or if you have any other contact within the school.

I would suggest you do not panic, even if the school says that the interview should be done by the 24th, they as with everyone understands that "life happens" and they would schedule someone /something else for you.

Re-assure yourself that you have done what the school said you should do by contacting your interviewer.

If you do not mind me asking, what country/city are you based in??

All the best..

Ask any questions you have..

Did mine yesterday. My interviewer was super nice, super cool. His background was in consulting. Was more like a chat then a job interview. Time passed by...Think it went well, have to wait till the 10th. Lots of good info, and I think I responded well to everything.

We will see. Typical questions:

Went quickly through my CV THEN:
Why MBA
Why LBS
2 year vs 1 year (why not Insead as you are an older candidate)
A lot on giving back to LBS
clubs
Community
Consulting
Why consulting
Case study, went really well, had fun.

Hyped. Though low gmat was mentioned so let's not think about that too much.
Good luck to everyone:)

I did. I hope I didn't spam his inbox. Thank you. I have finalized my interview appointment after contacting my regional manager several times.
I was worried because I have to fly out of town to interview and my interviewer took quite long to respond (a few days). My other interviewers were extremely responsive. I hope he won't hold grudges against me. :|

Hi guys,
I just finished my video essays....stumbled a bit even if i was well prepared..well lets see
2nd question was an example of "how i contributed to the work community" incase any R4 candidate is interested

On another note, I drove past the new LBS buildings (The Sammy Offer Center)....seems work is still in progress and from the outside, I could not say if the schedule would be on time.....

Hey Tmoni26, I had the same question but I stumbled a lot and could not finish my answer.
I hope that my application is not negatively affected by this mishap
Looking forward to my interview and hoping to make up for my video interview
