Hello everyone,

I just finished both video and in-person interview, now waiting for the result.
Do we need to submit official Gmat/IELTS during the application process? or we can do this after we get an offer or request like some uni in the U.S.?

I used up all free-submission, and don't wanna pay 50us beforehand.
Thank you !

Hi Nighthawk,
Congratulations, now the wait begins......all the best
I stand to be corrected but I have not been asked for any additional information by the school but everyone's case is different

On another note, how did your interview go and what was the topic of your presentation??

Hi Tmoni26,

My interview was very friendly, and conversational. It lasted about 2 hrs with presentation test and Q&A in the end. The case was to express my opinion about M&A between 2 big FMCG players. It was fairly easy given I currently work in IB field.

Hope for the best now. This is the same wait as for other schools and it will be killing me after getting closer 10 May :x

Regarding GMAT scores

Here is my experience from the previous year:

In the "waiting time", after my interview but a few days before the notification decision deadline, I received an email asking me to submit my official GMAT scores from GMAC. I thought this will mean that I am accepted because why would they ask for my official scores if I would be dinged right? Well turns out I got waitlisted haha so most likely you will have to send your official scores at some point

Hey guys,

I'm just finalizing my R4 LBS application (super late I know ), and was wondering what everyone uploaded for the "Test Taker" GMAT report. I haven't been asked for a test taker copy by any of the other schools I applied to, so this seems a bit strange. The test taker report shows everything; I have one cancelled score (prefer not to disclose to LBS if I can) and a list of all the other schools I sent the GMAT score to. Feels a bit of invasion of privacy.....or am I being paranoid?!

Would appreciate any feedback on what you guys did. I could also just upload the first page of the test taker report.....(shows that I cancelled a score, but doesn't show the other schools I reported by GMAT score to). Let me know your thoughts - cheers!

Hi HHisham,

I attached my GMAT report that shows my one-time cancelled score as well in R3. At first, I felt concerned about it as well but I, finally, got an interview. So I would say I the school wouldn't take this seriously (IMO). Good luck with your application!

Thank you for your comment! I really hope I got that request!

I believe that if they ask for official score very close to the announcement, we should get something either waitlisted or accepted not dinged (hopefully)

At London Business School it is easy to point to the key characteristics that help to define this environment; the city […]

Hi guys,
I am probably the last one to be interviewed. I have mixed feelings. My interview was completely different from other members on this forum.
My interviewer did not ask any questions about my experience. He did ask a lot of behavioral questions and kept grilling me on why I would choose LBS over INSEAD.
I was not prepared when he asked me about what I would improve on LBS. I took a minute to come up with some good answers.
The interview wasnt conversational and it lasted less than an hour, which got me really worried. (Each of my two interviews at INSEAD lasted more than 1 hour 30 mins)
He complimented my answers on the presentation topic and sympathized with the painful process I had to go through.
Btw, he kept wowing that I had to fly out of the country for the interview.

Congrats Loivoq,
Well, you have that out of the way and now you can only wait and hope for the best
Good to hear you were complimented on your presentation
I do not think the time in itself would be a major issue
At the end of the day, different styles, different schools, different interviewers

I had my interview last week Friday

My first question was on the difference between working in Africa and working in the UK ---- that was out of the blue
Then I had to give a specific example of this difference
- what were the threats/ opportunities to my industry (energy industry)
- What would i do as a CEO to make my company adapt to challenges in the my industry ( I was like but I am not a CEO..lol)
- Why MBA
- Why LBS
- A time when i failed and learning
- Leadership
- Extra-curricular

The interview was for about an hour and my interviewer kept looking at the clock..(maybe i was talking too much)

Well, I have done my part...now to anxiously wait for May,10

Hey Tmoni26,
Thank you. I hope you had a great interview too. I forgot to add that my interviewer asked me what if I werent accepted to LBS...
In the end, he was nice enough to escort me to the lift.
Good luck to all of us!

does anyone know what the specific term start date is? I've been looking everywhere and can't find specific dates for 2017.

Hello Bouzillator,

The new session is planned to start on the 14th of August this year

I think the first 2 weeks would be more along the lines of getting to know one another, getting stuff signed off and you also have a team bonding session in a forest somewhere in the UK (sounds like fun)

Did you do your interview in Mauritius???
