Got the ding. I guess this wasn't my year. I probably need more work experience. I still have Darden at the end of the month, but at this point I don't feel particularly confident about it. Congrats to those who got in. I better start looking for something to do for next year when Teach for America ends.

Ditto... waitlisted. I have to be honest and say that I am actually a bit relieved by this. Ross was/is near the top of my list, and I was never invited for an interview. I actually emailed them a while back to find out whether they waitlist applicants who haven't been interviewed, and they told me that "every waitlisted applicant has been interviewed," so I am a bit surprised.

I had talked about Ross adopting Cornell strategy of wait listing bunch of R1s to someone this evening. Came out to be pretty true in my prediction.

waitlisted too....to be honest i'm not surprised...i just didn't 'connect' with my interviewer...sometimes two personalities just don't have that chemistry like i felt at cornell...it's ok, i probably would've chosen cornell over ross anyway, given that i'd like to move into IB/IM. I'm interviewing for the park fellowship at Cornell next week so hopefully there's at least partial scholarship on its way there.

For those of you on the waitlist, I did notice that they appear to accept a fairly high percentage of waitlist students. I'm pulling for everyone, seriously. I know what it's like--I applied last year R3 and...needless to say that it didn't go so well. I didn't even get a waitlist.

The front page of the full-time MBA page now has a bunch of WL info, including an upcoming chat. Here's the FAQ:

its a waitlist for me. I am disappointed but I'll be even more disappointed if I don't get to matriculate at Ross... so I'm definitely going to do all it takes to convert this one.

I believe, historically, Ross does not have a very good WL conversion rate (a post on BW says 66 accepted out of 233...going to dig up accurate numbers if possible).
A couple of wait list transcripts I have seen tell me that Ross does not offer feedback.

However the good thing I see is that they are very proactive and have scheduled a wait list chat and have a google group going. To me this is a good positive news and a big commitment/involvement with the WL community.

All the best to the other WLers and those denied , congratulations to those in.

Everybody seems to have been waitlisted. Good luck guys.

I can't understand what strategy schools follow by waitlisting many applicants.. especially this year
