I caught CNBC Squawk Box this morning.

MIT Sloan professor was on and he was talking about MIT's recruiting due to bad economy. Here's the summary:

60% of this year's graduating class has a job offer so far.

Recruiting Companies are Mainly from:

1) Financial Services firms w niche (Boutique)
2) Companies from Outside US
3) Management Consulting Firms
4) Tech Firms

Is it true that MIT releases invites in batches based on geography? I seem to recall them coming out for R1 in that way.......maybe I'm loony though.

I got an invite in R1 ~ one month before the deadline. I guess it was based on location.

I heard app volumes are down at Kellogg based on adcom. I guess this is the general trend. If yes, then it is good for R2 at MIT.
