Ah, I just submitted for R2 last night (wanted to get it out of the way)!! It was scary...I seriously think I experienced post-traumatic stress for ~5 minutes afterwards...thinking "did I format everything correctly?" "maybe I should have changed that last sentence of Essay 2" "What if my essay wasn't that coherent although I read it at least 15 times over?" "Maybe....??"

I need to silence my mind. Ommmm.

Alright, just wanted to vent.

I just read that NOT waiving my right to see my recommendation letters could have a NEGATIVE effect on how the admissions committee sees my recommendations. I'll let people do a quick google search on why, but I wanted to see if anyone knew whether MIT Sloan representatives have ever mentioned their feelings on it. Anyone? I don't even want to see the letters, I thought my selection was invisible to AdCom :(

I've consistently heard the same thing. Not to be a buzzkill, but rule of thumb is to waive your right. I don't know the logic behind it, but the adcom can indeed see your preference. My guess is they may think you are not confident about what your recommenders will say.

On another note, can someone please provide a breif summary where invites have been sent out. It seems like only NE at this point?

I didn't waive my right. Both of my recommenders offered to send me the letters they submitted in case any of the topics discussed came up in a potential interview, which I accepted. I don't think that was a 'don't admit me' checkbox, and likely matters very little.
