I wasn't a big fan. Video interviews are always tough, and the fact that you only had one chance to record your answers made it even harder.

I applied for the 9/30 deadline and have not hear back yet. I agree with the comments above regarding the interview format...I've never had to do that on any job interview so the format threw me off.

Same here. I was thrown off by the format. It is hard to gauge the "room" because of the lack of any human verbal and nonverbal cues.

Thanks! It took two rounds and about 4 months of studying to finally crack it. I used this study schedule which helped a ton: https://atlanticgmat.com/gmat-schedule-intro/

The books he references are kinda old, but they work just as well and can be found free pretty easily online. I think taking practice tests is the best thing you can do to prepare for the real thing. I didn't take any before my first exam and could see a big difference after taking a bunch before my second GMAT.

Thanks for the resources. I took a practice test and got a 730. So i'm hopeful that with a few more weeks of preparation i might be able to get that up to 750.

NgaMBA Thanks for starting this forum! The 2018 forum was helpful for me as I started to apply for this year. I also applied in R1, completed the interview about a week later, and am now awaiting the decision.

I applied with a 690 GMAT (planning on retaking), with 4 years of work experience in management consulting and now a tech start up.

My profile:

680 (unofficial) / 3 yrs work exp. / analyst (CPG)

haven't taken the first official test yet.. i have been studying for 3 months on and off and don't feel ready yet. I have the material down but my problem is speed. hoping to improve that in the next month since i will need to submit the score by Jan 15th.

Any advice for the interview? I took a digital interview once for a job and that didn't turn out well for me.. they gave me about 1 minute to come up with an answer to each question and there was no pausing at any point.

The interview is tough cos you get 30 seconds to think and 2 minutes to answer and you only get one try so preparation is key.
