FROM Nanyang Admissions Blog: Happy Friendship (Valentine’s) Day !
Submitted by Phua Boon Huei, Student Exco VP Finance

Today (12 Feb) is a special day. Notably, this marks the last day of our Trimester Two class; and for our friends on the Nanyang-Waseda Double MBA program, the last day of NTU class before they head off to Japan to continue their MBA journey.

The MBA gentlemen wanted to mark this day with laughter and loooove (like what our Marketing Professor would say). And it is with perfect timing as well, because Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!

Love is in the air

After our class ended, each gentleman proceeded to give a rose to every lady in our class! The MBA ladies were really special, and we are thankful and honoured to share this journey with them!

There was much chemistry and sparkle, just like the song “Fireworks” by Katy Perry! Here’s some of these highlights!

Highlights ***

Angga successfully proposed to Noopur! Everyone around were moved to tears by the sight….

There were the sweet love triangles between Diyora and Samuel…

.. and the inevitable skirmishes between couple as seen with Aswathi and  Sharan…

There were love letters flying around between Vishal and Angie…

.. Meanwhile, Anand was busy networking and kept Reina waiting. Thankfully the flower did manage to reach her in the end !

All gentlemen were smartly dressed up, just like Vishal …

… and so were the ladies, who were all so sweet, as pictured here Akanksha with Eric, and JC with Liu Lei!

We even have a Singaporean couple, congrats Dominic and Sunitha!

And of course not forgetting our lovely Megan, who has been working tirelessly behind the scene in making our MBA program so enjoyable! Pictured here is Barry and Megan – we have never seen them happier!

Not forgetting our lovely MBA part-time class, who had a great time!

I love my MBA Class

As Anand mentioned post-event, “Wow. I love my MBA class! I’m not drunk”.

All of us couldn’t agree more with him! And having just completed our ethics class this trimester, we know Anand means what he has said!

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi everyone,

I have got the offer from Nanyang. Anyone else here who has the offer?

Congratulations!!

I interviewed on 11th feb and my interviewer said that I will hear from NTU in 2-3 weeks.

How soon after the interview did you get results and can you please share your profile?

The interview process was very smooth. The interviewer was very casual in conversation and hence this made me feel very comfortable as well. He asked me questions around what my post mba goals are, why an mba, what was my work experience, situations where i was like a consultant to a problem. We then had a lot of discussion around my post mba industy which i wanted to work for. he also asked me about other places where I applied and their statuses.

Later on he asked me if i had any questions for him. I asked around the curriculum and also for his opinions on recent events from my industry.

Hey!!

I had my interview yesterday and it was absolutely cool. Guys, I had attended their seminar at Delhi and have exchanged few emails, plus now the interview; so far this school stands out of the rest. They provide you a lot of comfort and create a very cool environment for you. Their approach is way different from the rest.

Stern and systematic way of carrying out work may appeal to some but I feel the other way. If I get into Nanyang, I am so sure that I made the right decision.

The interview was very chilled out, the professor was very friendly. The entire set of questions basically revolves around your application.

All the Best !!!

Guys,

I am new to the forum. I took my recorded video interview 2 days ago. The questions were exactly same as someone posted in this forum. I need some information about when they will get back to us for decision about live interviews.

Hey

It was within a week. I guess I got the invite 4 days later and had to confirm my availability within a day.

Don't worry, the mail will contain all the details including the skype ID etc.

It was the same for me as well. The interview call came after one week.

Folks, any idea how the scholarship details work. If admitted, do we get scholarship confirmation along with it ? Or do we get to know about that only later ?

Same here. Submitted the application on 31st December. Online application status still says "Application Under Process". I first thought this meant that the application was incomplete from my end so I mailed them twice to confirm. Both time the reply was that my application is complete and they will contact me if i get shortlisted for the interview. But nothing yet

I wrote a mail yesterday to the adcom asking them when will they release my decision. They replied that result will be declared by mid-march. I had interviewed on 11th Feb and I was hoping that results would come out by this week as my interviewer had mentioned.

I hope they release it ASAP. I have an offer from HKU for which I have to confirm by 18th March and NTU is all that stands in the way.

I submitted mine on 12th of December and it shows the same status "Application Under Process".
I guess if they are releasing the decisions mid-march, it is maybe the end of the road..

Even my interview lasted only about 20 min and even in that the interviewer did a lot of talking. I dont think the time is of that much importance.

Did the interviewer mention anything about when the results would come out?
