admits, i know this is a dumb question but for a thank you, is an email acceptable followed by a card? or is card more professional?

sorry i have no interviewed really ever (military guy), any insight is much appreciated.

I would probably choose one or the other, rather than both. I bet the majority do emails, so a handwritten card would be nice and probably stand out. It's kind of a lost art. Just make sure if you choose that option that you do it right away.

I sent an email the day of my interview. Fairly short just thanked my interviewer. I think sending a card would take too long unless you mail in immediately since stern has rolling admissions.

Either an email or a handwritten thank you note is fine as long as it's done within 48-72 hours imo.

thanks alot, i sent an email, i had Maggie Culliton, she was very nice, I just hope I made it in, got dinged at MIT and NYU is my other top choice.

I can survive either way, but I'd love to be there

I interviewed with Maggie as well. She didn't reply to my thank you email and I still got in. So don't read into anything if she doesn't. More likely she is just very busy.

thanks for the insight, i was wondering about that, yea i'd be very happy at NYU, being from NJ and having been far away for awhile, it would be ideal to be close to home again and in an area i really care about

I interviewed with another member of the adcom. I didn't get a response to my thank you email either; however, I did get a call a few days after my acceptance.
