Columbia: $53,208/yr
NYU: $47,956/yr
$5252(or $10,504 over two years) difference. Factor in the $25k, and you're saving $35,504. Not exactly chump change. These two schools are equally ranked, and probably offer the same job prospects. I would choose NYU hands down. Better facilities, better location (I love the west village), same ranking, same job prospects (assuming you're not doing something really niche), and you save $35k (which is like $500/mo for almost 6 years not including interest).
As someone who completed a competitive grad degree program at an ivy league school, the novelty of ivy wears off *very* quickly (like day 2). It's not like you're option is Columbia or Podunk U. I completely understand the pull of blatant prestige, but I would take the money and run...debt aint no joke. Just my two cents

*No idea if 25k is a lot. Seems like a tier 2 (out of 3) offer. Tier 1 being full ride, tier 3 being 5-10k.
