Hi guys,

I submitted my application on Feb 15th for the R1 deadline. My application status page still says, application under review.

I have emailed Stern twice. Any suggestions on what to do or what maybe happening?

Good question. I’ve thought about that too, especially since I want to take advantage of some international programs. If there is a future lockdown, there is some form of tradeoff going on between the “new normal” and putting off grad school with the expectation things go back to what they were. Things are just really uncertain with how all this stuff will play out.

It also depends partly on how you value things and what you want. It’s at the same time also definitely not zero sum obviously since Sternies have a reputation as bring smart and resourceful, so finding ways to still connect are a given. I hear there’s still stuff going on, albeit digitally. That’s also why I made that Facebook group, so we could still make friends

Personally, I will be entering for the Fall because I want to move forward and I’ve already gotten the opportunity to talk to some really great people, so I feel moving forward is for the best for me in my particular situation.

Anyone received an email asking for "being considered for early admission to begin the program in Spring 2021 instead of being considered for admission to Fall 2020"? They said they have a robus pool of applicants for fall semester.

Should I consider this?

I received this as well this morning. It's probably a good sign that it isn't a flat out rejection, but maybe indicates that there's a higher likelihood of being waitlised if continuting for the fall.

Are you considering doing this?

He had a sub 700 gmat score. Don’t know the exact date but was definitely early May. He also said he wanted to career switch. Just put together a very solid app.
